CITY OF r,= IJJW PARK BOARD HMnMgG WNDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1994 The City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was called to order at 6:33pm by Chairperson, George Lindy. Roll Call was taken, members present: George Lindy, Sharon Lane, Brian Bourassa, Pam Taschuk, Ken Johnson, and Joe Schmidt. Also present were Marty Aslescm, Park, Recreation and Forestry Coordinator, Linda Elliot, City Council Liaison, Barry Bernstein, Recreation Program Supex-visor, and Sandie wood, Recording Secretary. Not present was Amy Donlin, APPROVAL OF MMTM.-• Sharon Lane made a motion to approve the September 7, Park Poard meeting minutes and the minutes from the September 22, Goal Setting Session meeting, Ken Johnson seconded the imtian and they were approved with no additions or correct ions, OPEN M_=_-,- There was no one present to speak- under Open Mike. REVIM.- Marshan Lake Townhomes - Mary Asleson gave an overview of the Marshan Lakes Townhomies Development. He explained that it is 29.9 acres with 23.9 acres above the wetlands (buildable) development bounded by Aqua Lane to the South, Lake Drive to the West, Marshan Lake to the East, and the Shores of Marshan Lake to the North. There is a proposed 1.6 acre General Business zorie an the Southwest corner of this development. The area is zones P,-4, with 18 buildings, 12 townhomes per building for a total of 216 townhane units, or 9.04 units per acre. The Miores of Marshan Lake Park area M-2, is projected to have a Natal park area need of 5 acres. The Shores of Marshan Lake Development resulted in a 1.9 acre park dedication- The Shores of Marshan Lake Town gee would add another 3-8 acres of contiguous park acreage for a total of 5.7 acres. This satisfies our need for park land in this area according to the Comprehensive Park Plan. The remaining part of Trail Segment 18 South to Aqua Lane would be completed as part of this project as well as a trail link to the adjoining presently dedicated land. The trail link addition to the south creates an access to the regional park via Aqua Lane. Marty stated that according to the park dedication ordinance, a development with a density of 9 or more units would need an 18% park land dedication. Accordingly, the acreage total or cash dedication would be for 4.30 acres. The remaining portion of the 4.3 acres or .50 acres would be based on fair market value of the 1
