ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING MAY 31, 2000 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : May 31, 2000 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:30 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED : 8:57 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Maurene Davidson, Amy Donlin (arrived at 6:39 p.m.), Rod <br />Kukonen, Scott Lanyon, Dave Mach, Teresa O'Connell, and <br />Mike Trehus <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None. <br />Staff members present: Environmental Coordinator Marty Asleson <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Acting Chair Lanyon called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. e. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. March 29, 2000 - Davidson asked if the Chair and Vice Chair were elected or nominated. <br />Asleson advised that the Board elects its :own Chair and Vice Chair. Davidson asked that <br />the meeting minutes reflect they were elected. <br />Davidson noted that Lanyon is referred to as "Acting Chair" but she thought he was <br />elected as the Chair. Asleson, explained that it was decided that Lanyon would be the <br />Acting Chair until he determined whether he could accommodate that responsibility along <br />with his work commitments. Then the issue would be raised again. Acting Chair Lanyon <br />stated this is correct and suggested it be addressed later in the meeting. <br />Kukonen moved to approve the March 29, 2000 meeting minutes as amended above. <br />Donlin seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. April 26, 2000. - Kukonen requested a correction to Page 4, B, third paragraph, to indicate <br />"Wetlands filter ..." rather than "Wetland filter ..." <br />In response to Davidson regarding the preceding sentence, Asleson stated the minutes <br />should indicate: "Houses are being built along the buffered areas and residents are <br />starting to get concerned because fences are coming down." <br />Donlin arrived at 6:39 p.m. <br />Davidson moved to approve the April 26, 2000 meeting minutes as amended above. <br />Kukonen seconded the motion.
