Special Council Meeting 59 September 27 1981 The Special Meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at II8:00 P.M. by Acting Mayor Elsenpeter, with all other members present. VARIANCE - HAL LEIBEL Mr. Schumacher reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission had reviewed this and recommended approval with the stipulation; 1) that the triangular parcel "A" be transferred to Mr. Leible, the frontage was discussed and it was pointed out that when the home was constructed, there was necessary frontage, but with the realigning of the street this frontage has been de- creased. After some discussion on this matter, Mr. McLean moved to approve the variance request. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried unanimously, Mayor Gourley had arrived during this discussion. SEAL COATING PROPOSAL Mr. Schumacher presented Mr. Volk's proposal for the seal coating of certain street within the City, Arrowhear Drive, Totem Trail, Rice Court, Hokah Drive, Red Maple Lane, West Shadow Lake Drive, Shadow Court totaling 35,000 square yards seal coating at 0.45 (estimated) per square yard total- ing $15,912.00. There is approximately $9,000.00 in the budget for materials This is proposed to be used for the seal coating. The overall bidget is parrozimately $15,400.00 under budget. Together, these funds should take care of this proposal. I Mrs. Elsenpeter asked how these streets were chosen and Mr. Volk said he had checked all streets in the developments and felt these are the streets that should be done at this time. Mr. Jaworski moved to adopt Resolution 81 -24 which authorized the Clerk to advertise for bids. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously Bids are to be opened on September 21, 1981 at 12:00 Noon to be considered at the Council meeting at 8:00 P.M. RESOLUTION ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLIVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota : 1. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improve - ment under such plans and specifications as outline by the Director of Public Works. 2. The advertisement shall be published at least ten (10) days prior to the bid opening date, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened at 12:00 none on September 21, 1981 and considered by the City Council at the regular scheduled Council meeting at 8:00 P.M. on September 21, 1981 in the Council Chambers of the Lino Lakes City Hall. 3. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or cer- tified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5%) of the anount of such bid.
