211 <br />Council Meeting <br />April 23, 1984 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order <br />at 7:10 P.M. by Mayor Benson, April 23, 1984 with all members present with <br />the exception of Mr. Bohjanen. Mr. Hawkins, Mr. Davidson, Mr. Schumacher, <br />Mr. Kluegel, Chief Myhre, Mr. Volk and Mrs. Sarner were also present. <br />MINUTES - April 9. 1984 <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the minutes as presented. Seconded by Mr. <br />Marier. <br />Mayor Benson asked about the 8th paragraph, page 3, shouldn't "Circle Pines" <br />read "Lino Lakes" and the Clerk agreed that he was correct. This correction <br />will be made. <br />Motion to approve as corrected carried with Mr. Kulaszewicz abstaining. <br />DISBURSEMENTS April 23. 1984 <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the disbursements as presented. Seconded <br />by Mr. Reinert. <br />Mayor Benson asked about an expenditure under Public Works - this is for a <br />conference for Mr. Volk. Also and expenditures under misc. - the Clerk <br />Said this is for Social Security contributions. Mayor Benson asked why <br />it was under this classification and the Clerk did not have an answer. <br />It was requested expenditures such as this be labeled on all future listings. <br />Motion to approve carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />There was no one to appear under this portion of the agenda/ <br />UPDATE ON REGIONAL PARK <br />1 <br />Mr. McLean made the opening remarks on the development of his park and <br />introduced Mrs. Margaret Langfeld, Anoka County Commissioner, and Mr. <br />David Torkildson, Anoka County Parks Director. <br />Mr. Torkildson presented the plans for the construction of the back 9 holes <br />on the golf course, noting that the first two fairways will be re- located <br />as will the Club House. There was discussion on the access to the golf <br />course being off Lake Drive through Aqua Lane. Mr. Torkildson pointed <br />out there will be trails for horse back riding but no riding stables. <br />Residents will have to bring in their own horses for riding. <br />Mr. Torkildson pointed out that several of the fairways will be North of <br />the creek and there will be walking birdges installed. <br />The timing of the construction schedule was discussed with Mr. Torkildson <br />noting the back nine holes hould be open for play around July, 1985. <br />Mr. Schumacher asked about the necessary permits for construction and Mr. <br />Torkildson said the architect will take care of that phase. <br />There will still be access to the golf course on the West side of the <br />
