74 <br />March 24, 1980 <br />had called about an internship for a student at that University. He <br />presented the information to the Council for their consideration. There <br />would be no cost to the City other than a small amount the City might <br />want to give for expenses. This would be in the area of $200.00. <br />Mr. McLean moved to adjourn at 9:40 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Jaworskl, <br />Motion carried unanimosuly. <br />These minutes were considered and approved at the regular Council <br />meeting held April 14, 1980. <br />x <br />Edna L. Sarner, Clerk- Treasurer <br />April 14, 1980 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at <br />7:32 P.M., on April 14,1980, by Mayor Gourley. Council members pre - <br />sent; Elsenpeter, Jaworski, Kulaszewicz, McLean. Absent; None. Mr. <br />Schumacher was present, Mr. Locher was absent, due to illness. <br />On considering the Minutes of March 24, 1980, they were declared <br />approved as presented. <br />The disbursements as listed were considered. Tere were several questions <br />which were answered. Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to approve the disburse- <br />ments. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Steve Messerli, representing the Circle Pines Lions Club asked to <br />use Sunrise Park on September 6/7, 1980 to conduct a fund raising event. <br />This would be called Sandburr Days and would be basically the same as <br />last year. He was aaked if the format would be the same as last year <br />amd Mr. Messerli said there could possibly be more events - the format <br />isn't set as yet but will be presented to the Council for their approval <br />when it is finalized. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve this use subject to the Lions Club providing <br />the necessary insurance, obtaining a beer permit and supplying the City <br />Council with a format of the activities planned. Seconded by Mr. <br />Jaworski. <br />Mr. Marier asked who would be responsible for cleaning the Park after <br />this had been completed. Mr. Messerli said the Lions Club rents a dump - <br />ster and the Park is cleaned by that organization. Mr. McLean added <br />that the Lions Club he held responsible for the clean up in the Park. <br />This was seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Gerald Illg appeared before the Council asking that the Ordinance <br />governing the placement of mobile homes on private property be amended <br />to allow them to place a mobile home on five acres of land they own <br />along Pine Street. She cited the cost of homes at the present time and <br />the interest rates. She felt that they own land and they own the mobile <br />home and should be allowed to live on their own property. They have <br />the home in Restwood Terrace at the present time. <br />
