1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 23, 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called <br />to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Benson, June 23, 1986. Members <br />present: Reinert, Bohjanen, Bisel, Marier. Attorney, John <br />Burke; Engineers, Ron Stallberg and Mark Kasma; Accountant, Joe <br />Huss; Building Inspector, Pete Kluegel; and Clerk- Treasurer, <br />Marilyn Anderson were also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Regular Meeting, June 9, 1986 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve the <br />minutes as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried with Mr. Marier abstaining. <br />Special Meeting, June 9, 1986 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve <br />these minutes as presented. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Mo- <br />tion carried with Mr. Marier abstaining. Mr. Marier commended <br />Mr. Bisel on his memorandum to the Council regarding the atten- <br />dance at Special Council Meetings. <br />Joint Meeting With the Planning & Zoning Board, June 4, 1986 - <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve these minutes as presented. Mr. Bisel <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS - JUNE 23. 1986 <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to approve the Disbursements as presented. Mr. <br />Marier seconded the motion. Mr. Marier asked for an explanation <br />of the Disbursement for Real Estate Journal subscriptions. Mr. <br />Schumacher explained this magazine explains what is happening in <br />other cities regarding tax base, etc. Mayor Benson said there <br />are other good articles that would be of interest to the Planning <br />and Zoning Board or Task Force and asked that they be given copies. <br />Mr. Marier asked that a letter be written to the City Planner to <br />explain he is close to being over budget for this year. Mr. Schu- <br />macher has already written this letter. <br />Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />A. Kathy Brown - Anoka County Community Action. Ms. Brown ap- <br />peared before the Council to explain that Anoka Community Action <br />is a non - profit organization partially funded from windfall pro- <br />fits of the oil industry. In the past year they have provided <br />assistance to 99 families in the Lino Lakes area in the form of <br />fuel assistance, one home renovation and other services such as <br />a food shelf. Her purpose for appearing tonight is to make it <br />known to the Council that this service is available and to ob- <br />tain some publication of their services. Ms. Brown will send <br />brochures outlining their services. <br />117 <br />
