139 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 28, 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to <br />order at 7:00 P.M., July 28, 1986 by Mayor Benson. Members pres- <br />ent: Marier, Bohjanen, Reinert. Members absent: Bisel. City <br />Attorney, Bill Hawkins; Engineers, John Davidson and Ron Stall - <br />berg; Building Inspector, Pete Kluegel; Chief Dean Campbell; Pub- <br />lic Works Director, Don Volk; Administrator, Randy Schumacher and <br />Clerk, Marilyn Anderson were also present. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Work Session, July 14, 1986 - Mr. Marier moved to approve the <br />minutes as presented. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried with Mayor Benson abstaining. <br />Regular Council Meeting, July 14, 1986 - Mr. Bohjanen moved to ap- <br />prove the minutes as presented. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried with Mayor Benson abstaining. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS JULY 28, 1986 <br />Mr. Marier asked for further details regarding the statement sub- <br />mitted by Mayor Benson for his expenses. Mayor Benson explained <br />that some of the meals were for Mr. Reinert and he will be reim- <br />bursing him. He detailed the number of meals and said this did <br />not include all the meals for which he could have asked for re- <br />imbursement. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the Disbursements as presented. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />No one appeared under Open Mike. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN AMBULANCE OPERATIONS BASE <br />AT THE LINO LAKES FIRE HALL <br />Mr. Barry Matson, Director of Emergency Medical Services, District <br />Memorial Hospital appeared before the Council to ask for formal <br />consideration and support for the placement of a basic life sup- <br />port and advance life support base in the new Centennial Fire Hall <br />in Lino Lakes. He presented written material for the Council re- <br />garding mileage data responding from the proposed Lino Lakes base. <br />Mr. Matson explained that currently District Memorial ambulances <br />are dispatched to emergencies north of Main Street and Health Cen- <br />tral ambulances are dispatched for emergencies south of Main Street. <br />The proposal for a base in Lino Lakes would reduce response time <br />from an average of eleven to sixteen minutes to an average of one <br />and one -half to two minutes.
