The regular meeting of the Lino <br />at 8:05 p.m. by Mayor Bohjanen. <br />Zelinka had been delayed as was <br />Approval of the minutes of June <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the <br />Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />June 24, 1974 <br />Lakes Council was called to order on June 24, 1974 <br />Councilmen present; Jaworski, Marier, McLean. Mr. <br />Mr. Locher. 3oth will arrive later. <br />10, 1974 was delayed until the arrival of Mr. Zelinka. <br />minutes of June 11, 1974 as written. Seconded by Mr. <br />The Clerk reported on the following items: <br />A letter from the Metropolitan Parks and Open Space Commission announcing a meeting <br />to be held on Wednesday, June 26, 1974 to receive local reaction to the Commission <br />recommendations regarding proposed acquisition and development projects to be <br />funded by the Metropolitan Council in 1974. Mr. Marier moved to have the :Clerk send <br />a copy of the Resolution with Anoka County concerning the Chain of Lakes project <br />now in progress and to include a copy of the use agreement. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Motion carried. <br />A gentleman from the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to be at the Hall <br />Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the Metropolitan Development Framework <br />Policies. The Council felt that this gentleman should be directed to talk to the <br />full Council at their next meeting on July 8, 1974. There is also a meeting in <br />Blaine on July 11, 1974 for discussion of this report. <br />Mr. Marier felt that there are several items that should be considered; 1) There is <br />no reliability to their statements; 2) They go to a lot of expense for studies but <br />never look at the area the studies encompass. Mr. Marier moved to inform this <br />Commission that the input of the City should be considered in their decisions. <br />Mr. Jaworski felt the whole point of the report was being overlooked. This report <br />recommends that Lino Lakes not be allowed to develop until 1990. Mr. McLean seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />Reported on a letter concerning a tree inspector in connection with the Dutch Elm <br />program. Mr. Bohjanen said that he plans to ask Mr. Ellingsen, the City Weed <br />Inspector, if he will take this position. He will report back at the next Council <br />meeting. <br />Read a letter from NSP asking the City to close out the files on the proposed <br />franchises of last year. <br />Had received a copy of the Resolution of NSSSB approving the full flow gravity <br />system for the Lino Lakes - Centerville interceptor. <br />Read a letter from Dave Torkildson, stating that the Advisory Council will be <br />formed early this Fall and plans be completed by Spring of 1975. The Clerk was <br />asked to answer this letter asking Mr. Torkildson to keep the Council informed as <br />to the progress of the Council and to inform him that we would like to submit names <br />for membership on this Council at the earliest-possible date. <br />Read a letter from the Washington County Highway Department informing the Council <br />of the plans for upgrading 107th St. North in Washington County (this is the exten- <br />sion of 80th Street in Lino Lakes.) <br />Read a letter from North Central stating that the gas service at the Pump House <br />will revert to LP prices with the next billing. The Clerk was instructed to write <br />and request that North Central take another look at the feasibility of installing <br />
