1
AUGUST 11, 1975
The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at
8:00 P.M. on August 11, 1975 by Mayor Bohjanen. Council Members present:
Jaworski, Mailer and McLean. Absent: Zelinka. Mr. Locher and Mr. Gotwald
were also present.
The minutes of the July 28, 1975 meeting were corrected as follows:
...Page 3, paragraph 5: Mr. Marier questioned the map. He asked if
this map was from the DNR. Mr. McLean said, No, the map was from
the Park Board Commission. The signs designating the Bike Trail will
be supplied by the DNR but will have to be installed by the City.
There is no cost involved in the acquisition of land since the trail
will be along existing roadways. The Clerk was instructed to correct
the paragraph to reflect the above statements. It should read, "Mr.
McLean said a proposed bike trail have been received from the Park
Board Committee and he asked that copies be made for all Council
Members, the Planning and Zoning Board, Centerville Council (since
a portion of the trail will go through that community) and the
Anoka Highway Department. The DNR will provide the signs to be posted
by the City. The Bike trail will follow existing roadways."
...Page 6, paragraph 9: Mr. Marier moved to strike the paragraph.
Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. the paragraph should read:
"No action had been taken by either the Clerk's Office or the Police
Office on the follow through. Mr. Jaworski asked if this would put
the responsibility on both offices? Mr. Marier said, Yes. Mayor
Bohjanen felt that all letters should come from the Clerk's office.
Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr.
Jaworski. Motion carried.
Mr. Charles Prokop was on the agenda to present the street in Otter
Lakes Hills for acceptance by the City for partial maintenance. The
Clerk read the letter to that effect. Also, Mr. Prokop requested a name
change for that street. Mr. Marier questioned the use of the ward "plat."
He felt that only two permits were approved for that area and the City is
dealing with acreage, not a plat. Mr. Marier moved to remove the work
"plat" from the description. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski.
However, Mr. Jaworski felt the work 'plat' was used as a designation
of the property.
Mr. Marier said he was not aware of the fact that there is a plat. He
felt this was accepted before the present statutes and regulations.
Mr. Marier called for a vote on his motion. Motion carried.
Mr. Marier moved to rename the street presently called "Lakeview"
to "Deer Pass Trail." Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried.
Mr. Marier moved to accept the street for partial maintenance upon receipt
of a letter from Mr. Gotwald that the street passes inspection. Seconded
by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried.
Mr. Prokop asked about the release of funds in escrow from payment of the
completion of that street.
187
