93 April 10, 1978 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order by Mayor Karth at III 8:05 P.M. on April 10, 1978. Council members present; McLean, Schneider. Absent: Kul - aszewicz, Zelinka. Mr. Locher was also present. On considering the minutes of March 27, 1978, approval was not possible due to a locak of a quorum of members present at that meeting. Consideration was deferred until April 24, 1978. On considering the minutes of April 3, 1978, Mr. McLean moved to approve as written. Se- conded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration: ..A request from the Lino Parent's Club for a Turkey Bingo Permit for April 14, 1978 to be held at the Lino Elementary School. Mr. McLean moved to approve this request. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. ..A cancellation notice of insurance at the Woodshed had been received. This becomes eff- ective April 19, 1978 at 12:00 noon. The Clerk was instructed to call and tell them of this notice and remind them the license will be cancelled also. ..A letter from Mr. Frederick Memmer, Attorney for WCCO, was read. Mr. Memmer requested an additional six months extension on the special use permit now existing for the construction of a tower within the corporate limits of the City. After some discussion, Mr. McLean moved to grant a six months extension to the permit. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Memmer with this information. ..A copy of a communique from Mr. David Torkildson on Tree Waste Management Plan for Council informational purposes had been copied for each member. ..An application form from the Minnesota Governor's Pre -White House Conference on Library and Information Services asking for a nomination for a delegate. This will be handled at a later date. ..A letter from the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission approving the extension of the mains and laterals on East Shadow Lake Drive. ..Copies of a form to be filled out in conjunction with the Community Comprehensive Planning grant was considered. The Clerk was instructed to contact Mr. Short for assistance with this. The Public Hearing for the plat MARDON ACRES was called to order at 8:30 P.M. Mr. Locher read a copy of the legal publication setting forth the lands to be platted and the time and date of the public hearing. Mr. McLean asked if the matter of the legal description of the power line easement had been resolved and Mr. Locher said he had not had any work from the company. The legal descript- ion had been provided for the easement but the partial release of this easement had been writt en incorrectly. Mr. Locher will contact the Power Company's Attorney for a correct copy. IIIMr. McLean moved to approve the March 14, 1978 revised copy of the MARDON ACRES plat with the stipulation that a legally executed partial release of the Power Line Easement and accompanying accurate legal description of that part of the power line easement be provided to the City Council prior to the signing of the final plat. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed.
