Since these are either
State Highways or County Highways, the Clerk was instructed to contact Mr. Burman on these
lights - should they not be the responsibility of one or the other.
Mr. Zelinka received a call and must leave for the airport. Before he left, he asked
Mr. Locher about the requirements in the trailer ordinance - willthere be a time limit for
non - conforming uses now existing to conform to the ordinance? Mr. Locher said a time
limit could be imposed by the ordinance.
Mr. Zelinka had brought a P A System for demonstration this evening and he asked that
the unit be returned tomorrow by one of the City vehicles. He explained this is a kit
and can be bought with two speaker columns for $499.95. He will build this unit. Mr.
Zelinka had purchased a mike for use this evening but felt that he could obtain mikes at
a more reasonable cost than this one. He said there are connections for six mikes on the
unit.
The public hearing on the trailer ordinance was called to order at 8:30 P.M. Mr. Locher
read the legal publication setting forth this meeting. He also read the Ordinance.
Mr. Glenn Rehbein felt the two week limit for the parking of out of town recreational
vehicles was too restrictive. There was discussion of this point and the fact that the
Police must be notified. Mr. Rehbein read a letter from a lady in Sterns County on the
parallel she felt existed between the actions of the Regional Government and Nazi Germany.
Mr. Rehbein felt some of this sort of thing is happening here.
