January 22, 1979 <br />205 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M. by Mayor Karth on January 22, 1979. Council members present; <br />Kulaszewicz, McLean, Schneider, Zelinka. Absent; None. Mr. Locher and <br />Mr. Carley were also present. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes of January 8, 1979 as pre- <br />sented. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration: <br />..The recording Clerk had submitted her resignation. Mr. Schneider moved <br />to accept the resignation. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared <br />passed. <br />..Some comparison figures on Long Term Disability Insurance was presented. <br />It was felt this City needs an insurance consultant. Mr. Schneider will <br />work with the Clerk on this matter. <br />..The Federal Revenue Sharing check for January has been deposited in the <br />Bamk and the municipal fines for the month of December were $396.50. <br />Mr. Schneider moved to advertise in the Forest Lake Times and the <br />Circluating Pines for a recording Clerk. The person must be experienced <br />in shorhand and typing, have own transportation and be available for <br />evening meetings. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion decalred passed. <br />It had been brought to the attention of the Attorney that the Circle <br />Pines Utility system is installing lines in Rice Lake Add. #1. This area <br />os out of the franchised area for Circle Pines. There will be further <br />discussion on this matter. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to appoint Mr. Gary Foster to a three year term on the <br />Park Board. Seconded by Mr. McLean. MOtion declared passed. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz reported on the meeting of the Police Advisory Board and <br />presented the following schedule for completion of their work. They <br />will hold a work session on Feb. 13, 1979, present recommendations to the <br />Council in March and meet with the Council in April. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the Personnel Commission's recommendation <br />of $20,160.00 per year for Chief Myhre's salary for 1979. Seconded by <br />Mr. McLean. Motion decalred passed. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approved the Planning and Zoning Board's recommendation <br />for the approval of a variance to Mr. Lee Robinson. Seconded by Mr. <br />Zelinka. Motion decalred passed. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to deny a variance applied for by Mr. Charles Bloom. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean moved to hold Mr. Dennis Cunningham's special use permit <br />application until the fees are paid. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion <br />declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve the variance application for Mr. Dennis <br />Cunningham. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. MCLean moved to hold Mr. Klenck's application for a special use <br />permit until the fees are paid. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka.
