The matter of the <br />rural density will also be discussed at the time this plan is updated. <br />Mr. Mazanec said he would rewrite this memo, get a copy to this Council, <br />for discussion before it is forwarded to the Physical Development <br />Committee. He also felt it might be a good idea for members of this <br />Council to get together with members of that committee for an informal <br />meeting to discuss this matter before it is presented to the committee <br />as a whole. <br />There was some discussion on the definition of soils used in the City's <br />Restrictive Soils Ordinance. There are some differences that the Metro <br />questioned. The City's practices as to requiring perc tests and soil <br />borings was explained. These are required on all new buildings within <br />the City - no matter where they are located. <br />Mr. McLean indicated that he would like to start the work on updating <br />the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, but most of these questions must be <br />resolved first. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to adjourn at 10:30 P.M. Sarner, Clerk- Treasurer <br />February 12, 1979 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order <br />at 8:00 P.M. on February 12, 1979 by Mayor Karth. Council members pre- <br />sent; Kulaszewicz, McLean, Schneider. Absent; Zelinka. Mr. Locher was <br />also absent. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes of January 22, 1979 as pre- <br />sented. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration: <br />..An information booklet from the Bureau of Census on the Local Review <br />Program had been received. They are asking for a liaison person to con- <br />tact. The general consensus of the Council members was that all infor- <br />mation should be sent to the Clerk's office. <br />..The application forms for the additional monies for Land Planning must <br />be signed and returned. Mr. McLean moved to authorize Mayor Karth to <br />sign the applications. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared <br />passed. <br />..Mr. Paul Miller, of Acton Construction, had written requesting the <br />street that enters into their building site be bamed "Phelps Road ". <br />The Council had no objections to this, however, Mr. McLean moved that <br />this matter be checked with Mr. Arnold Kelling for conformance to City <br />and Metro planning. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />All other incoming information has been copied for each Council member. <br />
