Mr. Locher reported on the request for holding of a two day pig roast by a local cit- izen. He reported on the various permits that must be obtained. No decision on this matter. Mr. Gotwal,d reported on the progress of streets w *thin the various plats. All is being done on schedule. Mr. Locher had checked the bond for gambling at the VFW and found in order. Mr. McLean moved to approve this pperation. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion declared passed. Mr. McLean moved to approve requisitions #910 & 911. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion declared passed. Mr. McLean moved to approve checks #9690 through and including #9707. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. Mr. McLean moved to adjourn at 1:00 A.M. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Aye. A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, was duly held in the City hall, City of Lino Lakes.at 8 :00 P.M., on the 14th day of May, 1979. The following members were present: Mayor Harvey Karth, and Councilmen Richard Kulaszewicz, John McLea9, Robert Schneider,and Richard Zelinka, and the follow;bng members were absent: none. Councilman McLean introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Whereas, the City Council of the City of LItjo Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, has, on its own motion, ordered a hearing to be held to consider the vacation of a portion of utility easements lying within the corporate limits of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows, to -wit: A utiltfy easement as shown on the plat of Twilight Acres, according to the map or plat thereof on file and of record in the office fo the County re- corder, Anoka County, Minnesota, over, a strip of land 10 feet in width, as measured at right angles, parallel with and adjacent to and Northeasterly of the Southwesterly line of Lot 2, Block 2, of said subdivision. and, A utility easement as shown on said plat, o!ier a strip of land 10 feet in width parallel with and adjacent to and lying Northwesterly of the Southeasterly lino 4f Lot 3, Block 2, of said subdivision, except that part thereof lying South of a line parallel with and distatt $0 feet North of the Souther }y 1 i ne of- said Lot 3, Block 2. and, Whereas, published notice of the hearing held this 14th day of May, 1979, at 11:30 o'clock, P.M., at the City Hall in the City of Lino Lakes, was duly made for two weeks, on, April 19, 1979, and April 26, 1979, in the ForesttLake Times, and posted notice of said hearing, since April 27, 1979, was duly made, all as required by law, giving legal notice as required by law; 262 May 14, 1979 and, Whereas, r:trhas City Council hereby determines that the following portion of utility easements Tying within the corporate limits of the City of Lino Lakes Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows, to -wit: A Utility easement as shown on the plat of Twilight Acres, according to the map or plat thereof on file and of record in tthe office of the County Recorder, Anoka County, Minnesota, over a strip of land 10 feet in width, as measured at right angles, parallel with and adjacent to and Northeasterly of the Southwesterly line of Lot 2, Block 2, of said sub- division, and, A utility easement as shown on said plat, over a strip of land 10 feet in width parallel with and adjacent to and lying Northeasterly of the Southeasterly line of Lot 3, Block 2, of said subdivision, except that part thereof Tying South of a line parallel with and distant 10 feet North of the Southerly Line of said Lot 3, Block 2, has not formerly been used for public purposes, has not been needed for public purposes; and WHEREAS, after. due consideration, at a public hearing held on May 14, 1979, at 11:30 o'clock, P.M. ,;'at the City Hall in the City of Lino Lakes, by the City Council of the City of Lino lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, this City Council determines that the vacation of said portion of utility easements will in no be detrimental $o the public interest, and that it will be in the interest of the public to vacate said portion of utility easements; NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows: That the following described portion of yatility easements Tying within the corporate limits of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows, to -wit: A utility easement as shown on the plat of Twilight Acres, according to the map or plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Recorder, Anoka County,HMinnesota, over a strip of land 10 feet in width, as measured at right angles, parallel with and adjacent to and Northeasterly of the Southwesterly line of Lot 2, Block 2, of said subdivision, and. A utility easement as shown on said plat over a strip of land lo feet in width barallel with ana adjacent to and lying Northeasterly of the Southeasterly line of Lot 3, Block 2, of aaid subdivision, except that part thereof Tying South of a line parallel with and distant lo feet North of the Southerly line of sale Lot 3, Block 2, shall be and is hereby vacated as of the date hereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Kulaszewicz, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Harvey Karth and Councilmen Richard Zelinka, John McLean, Rob- ert Schneider, and Richard Kulaszewicz, and the following voted against the same: none. Whereupon the said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Sarner City Clerk - Treasurer City of 41no Lakes Anoka County, Minnesota June II, 1979 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8:oo P.M., June 11, 1979, by MayorKarth. Council members present; McLean, Schneider, Zelinka. Absent; Kulaszewicz. Mr. Locher was also present. On considering the minutes gf the Board of Review meeting held on May 9 , 1979 it was discovered that Mr. McLean had not been included in the 'members present'. Mr. Schneider mo ed to approve the minutes as presented, with Mr. McLean to be included as being present, and with the Clerk to confirm the plats and parcel numbers that action was takennolace on with Mrs. Roisum. Seconded by Mr..McLean. Motion was declared passed with Mr. Zelinka abstaining. Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of May 29, 1979 as presented. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of the Specidil Meeting of May 31, 1979 as pre- sented. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. The Clerk presented the following itemsJfor Council consideration: .. Mr. Gotwald had forwarded a feasibility study for the improvement (f Andall Street. He had found some problems in the lot lines when comparing the half section map with the aerial. Mr. McLean moved to,askU the applicants to present a survey on all pro- perty and define the setbacks and roadwidths. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion de- clared passed. This will be handled by Mr. Gotwald and Mr. Locher. Mr. Gotwald had also prepared a feasibility study for the completion of Deer Pass Trail. This cost should be allocated on a fromt foetage basis to each of the pro= perty owners and brougtt back to the next Council meeting. .. Northwestern Bell had presented plans for the installation of buried cable on Wood Duck-Trail and Blue Bill Land. Mr. Gotwald had checked and approved these plans. Mr. McLean moved to approve this application. Seconded by Mr. Zleinka. Motion de- clared passed. ..Northwestern Bell had applied for the installation of a buried cable on Marth, Leo - nard adn Jon Streets in Sunset Oaks. Mr. Gotwlad had checked and approved with the stipuldItion that newly surfaced streets will not be cut - all installation must be pushed through. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve this Application with the aboue stip- ulations. Seoonded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. .. Northwestern Bell'had presented plans for the installation of buried cable on Ware Road and Arrowhead Drive in Shenandoah. Mr. Gotwald had checked and recommended ap- proval of this. Mr. Schneiders() moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion declared passed. .. Mr. McLean moved to authorise the Clerk to apply for reimbursement for the attend - ance of Clifford Ross, Jr. in BCA. Seconded by Mr. Z linka. Motion declared passed. .. A copy of a permit approved by the DNR for the expanding of a ponding area on Bald Eagle Lake was discussed. Since this affects Hugo, the Clerk was instructed to send a copy of this permit to Hugo. ..The specida meeting scheduled for June 13th with the City of Shoreview had been can - celled. A Latterdate will be set.
