July 9, 1979 <br />Motion declared passed. <br />279 <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to approve checks #9788 through and including #9829, <br />with #9800 being void. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />There were two final plats - Carole Estates II and Swenson's Addition, <br />to be considered for signatures. Both plats have money due in leiu of <br />land for Park purposes. This must be paid before the signatures. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to adjourn at 11:45 P.M. Sarner, Clerk- Treasurer <br />July 23, 1979 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., on July 23, 1979, by Mayor Karth. Council members present; <br />McLean, Kulaszewicz, Schneider, Zelinka. Absent; None. Mr. Locher and <br />Mr. Gotwald were also present. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes of June 25,1979 as presented. <br />Seconded by Mr. Zelinka, Motion was declared passed with Mr. Schneider <br />and Mr. McLean abstaining. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes of July 9, 1979 as presented. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed with Mayor Karht abstaining. <br />The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration: <br />..A phone call from Mr. P. Nadeau with a complaint against Mr. Suchy for <br />the breeding of pigs on the five acres parcel of land. Mr. McLean moved <br />that Mr. Nadeau and Mr. Suchy be invited to attend the Council meeting <br />scheduled for August 13, 1979 and inform them this matter will be discussed <br />at 9:30 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />..Mr. Don Shackle had called about the requirement for insurance in con- <br />junction with teh use of Sunrise Park for a fund raising event. Mr. Locher <br />will check this out. <br />..Mr. Charles Cape, Civil Defense Director, had requested the use of the <br />warming house at Sunrise Park to conduct gun safety classes beginning <br />July 30, 1979. These classes will be on Monday and Wednesday and Friday <br />for about three weeks. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve this request. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />..A11 Council members have a copy of the minutes concerned with hunting <br />boundaries. This matter will be on future agendas. <br />..A letter from the State of Minnesota setting forth a reduction in <br />assessed valuation for the Forjay Gardens was read. This has been <br />approved by all County agencies. The Council had no comment. <br />..The matter of Anoka County looking at two sites in this City for the <br />construction of facilities for a juvenile detention center was discussed. <br />The St. Joseph's Catholic Church complex and 40 acres bordering Lilac just <br />West of the State facility (these 40 acres are part of the Forest Glen <br />plat) are the two areas being consdiered. There will be more discussion <br />later. <br />..The first half of the levy had been received; Current & deliquent for <br />
