97 June 14, 1976 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8:00 P.M., June 14, 1976 by Mayor Bohjanen. Council members present; Karth, McLean, Schneider. Absent; Zelinka. Mr. Locher was unable to attend. Mr. Gotwald was present. Mr. Karth moved to approve the minutes of May 24, 1976 as presented. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. McLean moved to approve the Minutes of June 7, 1976 special meeting as pre- sented. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion carried unanimously. The Clerk reported on the following items: ..Application forms for reimbursement funds from the Minnesota Police Officer training Board had been received and filled out. The Clerk asked for author- ization of the Council to sign and mail these forms. Mr. McLean so moved. Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried unanimously. ..The Minnesota State Highway Department has sent information regarding the releasing of the easement for the planned construction of Highway #51. This easement is located along and near the present Baldwin Lake Road and extends to the junction of Highway #8 and Highway #49. The underlying fee owner has the first option of reclaiming the land, otherwise, local government agencies may acquire the land. Mr. Gotwald suggested keeping informed on this since the acquisition of this easement could have some value as to the futuredeve- lopment of the land in that area. The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Tollefson and ask the City be dept informed of the availability of this land. ..Mr. Ray, City Insurance Agent, had mailed a form for the Public Official Lia- bility Insurance. The questoniof the cost for this coverage was discussed. Since there were no cost figures included with the form, the Clerk was instr- ucted to contact Mr. Ray for this information for the next Council meeting. ..May hauling charges of $1197.00 had been received. ..A check for $58.26 had been received from the County Auditor's office for the sale of tax forfeited land. ..A letter from North Central Public Service announcing the release of the sec- ond allocation of natural gas to customers on the priority list. The number of 450 new customers will be added to the system. ..A letter from Northern States Power setting forth the new electrical rates that became effective June 2, 1976. In consulting the attached schedules, it would seem that street lighting and water pumping would be the one area most affected. The Clerk will research this. ..The Planned Use Report for the Federal Revenue Sharing was discussed. Mr. McLean moved to allocate this money on the same percentage basis as last year. (the allocation was 2 /3rd's to roads, 2 of the remaining 1/3 to Parks and 2 to Police Department). Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion carried unan- imously. ..A request to cash CD's #1759, 2037 and 2157 and deposit in the Savings account was presented. Mr. Schneider so moved. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion car- ried unanimously. Mr. Schneider moved in July a CD should be purchased to bring the amount in Debt #2 up to the figure of $2,061.19 plus interest. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously.
