they should be put into a daily interest fund until required by the contractor.
Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously.
W. Coyle again brought up the subject of the ceiling liner; Mr. Gotwald stated
that originally the Building Committee had wanted 8" material but had changed the
specs to 3" to make the bidding equal. He felt that if the contractors wanted
to hire mechanical engineers to fight out the advantages of the types of insulation,
they could. Mr. Gotwald had talked to independent insulation companies for
information and had found that the 8" was quite satisfactory. Mr. Jaworski
mentioned that Krueger had put no alternatives on the insulation in their bid.
Mr. Locher noted that any substitutions had to be equal to or better than those
required in the specs; we can't just go by the dollar value.
There was Some further discussion on vapor barriers and the insulation. Mr. Gotwald
felt this was not a big item; besides there would still be a difference of some
$300 even if Krueger;s deductions were made. Mr. Krueger was told to have the
information on the changes in air conditioning into the office by Monday.
Mr. Jaworski moved to adjourn at 10:02 p.m. Seconde by W. Carrdinal.
