Seconded by <br />Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie C. Aragon, who have purchased the Silver Top Barn Ballroom <br />from the Dick Lichtscheidls, were present to apply for the necessary licenses. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved that the Village issue a cigarette license, 3.2 on -off sale <br />(non - intoxicating) licenses and dancing license to Mr. Aragon on a provisional <br />basis providing that the police check his record and find all in order. The beer <br />and dancing licenses were to be prorated, terminating on June 30, 1968. Seconded <br />by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier mentioned that Mr. Henry Kuitu, Executive Director of the Metropolitan <br />Airports Commission, had given notice that the first public hearing on the new airport <br />to be held on April 22 at the Commission's offices will be adjourned and reopened <br />on April 30 at the Anoka Co. Airport at the U of M hangar. Transcripts of the first <br />meeting will be made available immediately to any interested villages. Mr. L'Allier <br />proposed that the Council meet with the fiscal agent (Springsted, Inc.) State <br />Senator Tom Greig, County Commissioner, Bob Burman, and Bob Johnson, County Atty., <br />in an open hearing on April 29 at 8 PM at the Village Hall to discuss the new air- <br />port and to draft a resolution to be presented at the April 30 meeting of the MAC. <br />The Clerk will contact these persons. <br />Mr. Bohjanen stated that Sen. Greig had said that he favored having a liaison from <br />the County to the MAC, a non - voting member, and that the League had recommended this. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that he personally favored the proposed north site as it would <br />likely benefit Lino Lakes by bringing in local traffic and would help to develop <br />utilities on our northern edge. <br />The Village financial report for March was read showing a March 31 balance of $6971.16. <br />
