The roll call showed W. Jaworski <br />and Mr. Rosengren absent; however, they arrived shortly thereafter. <br />Motion was carried to accept the minutes as corrected. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to grant a 3.2 beer license (on -sale) for the Civil Defense at <br />their auction on Sept. 14th at Sunrise Park. Mr. Locher stated-that the insurance <br />papers were in order. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />A letter from Sen. Eugene McCarthy regarding our concern over - taxation of municipal <br />bonds was read. <br />The Clerk reported that funds had been received from the State for mobile home taxes <br />as well as-cigarette and liquor taxes.- - <br />A letter from the Anoka County Welfare Dept. was read; this asked for candidates <br />for Anoka County's Outstanding Senior Citizen. Deadline on entries is Aug. 29. <br />Crystal Ahlman suggested Mrs. Julia Faymorville. Mr. Bohjanen concurred that this <br />was an excellent recommendation. Mrs. Ahlman will fill out the papers. <br />At 8:30 p.m. the hearing for a special use permit for Bruce and Leo Kafka was called <br />to order. The Kafka's are requesting a permit for the parking of a trailer on <br />Leo Kafka's property (being purchased by Bruce Kafka, son) so that Mr. Leo Kafka <br />can live in it for the remainder of his life. Mr. Locher stated that he had <br />examined the affidavits of mailing (Aug. 6) and posting (Aug. 9) and had found them <br />to be in order. Mr. Locher also mentioned that there had been no one at the <br />Planning & Zoning hearing in opposition to the trailer. Mr. Cardinal stated that <br />the P&Z had recommended the special use permit. Mr. Cardinal then moved to abide <br />by the Planning and Zoning's recommendation and grant Leo Kafka and Bruce Kafka a <br />special use permit to park, maintain, and occupy as a residence by Leo Kafka, for <br />the natural life of Leo F. Kafka, a mobile home, according to law, having a minimum <br />size of 10' by 45' floor space. Mr. Bruce Kafka stated that the trailer they were <br />
