Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. <br />Minutes accepted Meeting of August 1, 1967 - r. -° ..c. c â–ºeputy <br />Clerk. <br />The regular meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes was called to order at 8:00 PM August <br />14th, 1967, with all members present. <br />Minutes of the July 24th meeting read. Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen to accept minutes <br />as corrected and pay bills as read. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Minutes of special meeting of July 26th read. Motion made by Mr. L'Allier to accept <br />minutes as read. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Minutes of special meeting August 7th read. Mr. Cardinal made a motion to accept <br />minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried. Mr. Ross abstained <br />from voting because he was on vacation at the time. <br />For the month of July the police put on 1,452 miles. Mr. Raymond put in 60 hours, <br />Mr. West 61 hours and Mr. Myhre 72 hours. <br />Bids were opened to cut grass along the 38 miles of roadways in the Village. Mr. <br />L'Allier made a motion that the job be awarded to Mr. Robert Lundgren, a Village resi- <br />dent, providing he furnishes proof of insurance to Mr. Locher. It was stipulated <br />Mr. Lundgren was awarded the job due to the fact he was the only bidder who was a <br />Village resident. Mr. R. L. Smith would be the alternate if Mr. Lundgren could not <br />meet the insurance requirements. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Bid on a carbine rifle for the police force was read. Mr. Bohjanen made a motion the <br />Village purchase the above mentioned carbine from the Lino Gun Shop for $65.00 and <br />authorize the police force to purchase three crash helmets for approximately $7.00 per <br />helmet. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that on Umuneil authority he had offered the Millers $500.00 per <br />acre for Park property but up to this meeting they have not accepted. Mr. L'Allier <br />made a motion that the offer to the Millers will be withdrawn as of Sept. 25th. Seconded <br />by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated the park equipment was delivered. Mr. Ludwig was asked to go ahead <br />with the well. Mr. L'Allier discussed the need for a polling place on the east side of <br />bur Village. Mr. Locher will check further into this. <br />Fire contracts were discussed. Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that the Lexington and <br />Centerville Fire Departments get together to discuss a new map for fire coverage in <br />our Village. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier discussed a fire number system for the rural areas of the Village. Mr. <br />L'Allier made a motion that a study be made by the P&Z to provide for fire numbers. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Ron Jaworski stated a Mr. Forrest Tagg stated he would donate 5 acres to the Vill &ge <br />for a Village Dill on the Freeway behind the Methodist Church. The Village could pur- <br />chase another 5 acres if they so desired for $500.00 per acre. Mr. L'Allier made a <br />motion that the Council set up a joint meeting with the P&Z, Mr. Tagg and the Village <br />
