I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 JULY 22, 2014 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Roth, and Stille. <br />16 Absent: Councilmember Jenson. <br />17 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Police Chief John Ohl, and City Planner Kelsey Johnson. <br />18 Guest: Julianne Hunter (VillageFest Chair). <br />19 <br />20 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />21 ITEMS. <br />22 <br />23 I. APPROVAL OF JULY 22, 2014, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />24 <br />25 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to approve the City <br />26 Council Meeting Agenda of July 22, 2014. <br />27 <br />28 Motion carried 4-0. <br />29 <br />30 11. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />31 <br />32 A. Presentation for VillageFest. Julianne Hunter, VillageFest Chair. presenting. <br />33 <br />34 Ms. Hunter reminded residents that VillageFest is being held August 1-3 and presented the <br />35 schedule of events. She stated the parade will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. followed by the <br />36 street dance in the shopping center parking lot. She stated that the 5k fun run and tot trot begins <br />37 at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and other activities include a vendor fair, petting zoo, silent auction, and <br />38 fireworks at 9:45 p.m. at Central Park. She advised that a teen center has been added this year in <br />39 the pavilion from 7:00-9:30 p.m. She stated the Kiwanis pancake breakfast on Sunday has been <br />40 moved to the high school with entrance on the east side. She announced that the community <br />41 theater has scheduled performances of The Wizard of Oz this weekend as well as the weekend of <br />42 VillageFest. She thanked some of the major sponsors, including Stinson Electric, St. Anthony <br />43 Mobil, Cub Foods, Walgreens, Tracy Printing, Fitness Crossroads, Annona Gourmet, and the St. <br />44 Anthony Lions Club. She also thanked the City including the City Council, Police Department, <br />45 Fire Department, and Public Works Department for all their assistance. She stated they have <br />46 volunteer opportunities available and further information is available on the website at <br />47 www.stanthonyvillagefest.org or email at stanthonyvillagefest@gmail.com. <br />48 <br />49 Mayor Faust extended the City Council's thanks to Ms. Hunter and the VillageFest Committee <br />50 for all their efforts. <br />
