<br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 24, 1991 <br />PAGE 2 <br />1.2 <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR LOTS 3, <br />4,5 AND 6 OF THE STRATFORD OFFICE PARK ADDITION <br />Baldwin opened the public hearing at 7:10 p.m. and explained the <br />amendment is necessary to bring the comprehensive plan into <br />conformance with the Rottlund Homes project. There being no one <br />in attendance wishing to be heard the hearing was closed at 7:12 <br />p.m. <br />Hoyt explained that the amendment turns the limited business area <br />on the plan to medium density residential area which will be in <br />compliance with the actual use. Jacobs then moved adoption of <br />Resolution R-92-22 which carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-92-22 <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE LAND <br />USE PLAN FOR LOTS 3, 4, 5 AND 6 OF STRATFORD OFFICE <br />PARK ADDITION <br />1 <br />APPROVAL OF VARIANCE FOR EMT-IV FOR RESCUE SQUAD <br />Baldwin explained that the matter had been discussed in detail <br />with rescue squad personnel at a workshop on April 8, 1992. <br />Authorization would allow squad members to train for a variance <br />to administer IV's, at an anticipated training cost of $5,950.00. <br />Gehrz moved approval of the proposal for basic life support <br />intravenous therapy variance for the rescue squad with funding of <br />approximately $5,950 coming from the rescue enterprise fund. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PROPOSAL TO BE SUBMITTED TO FALCON HEIGHTS/ROSEVILLE STEERING <br />COMMITTEE ON DIRECTION FOR COOPERATIVE OPPORTUNITIES <br />Baldwin explained there are ways to save money by cooperation, <br />however residents of both cities are concerned about maintaining <br />good services. strong neighborhoods, access to government, etc. <br />Since residents are asking many questions regarding merger he <br />felt is now time to ask the steering committee to explore forms <br />of "single city" government for presentation to the Roseville <br />Counc i 1. <br />A discussion ensued regarding whether or not it was appropriate <br />to go to the steering committee rather than directly to the <br />Roseville Council, the importance of moving forward before <br />momentumn is lost or desert the idea, the need for a "new city" <br />blue-print to have something tangible to present to the public <br />and establishment of a time line. The possibility of completing <br />the initial process by April of 1993 was considered. <br />
