MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY 11, 1984 PAGE 3 Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that Councilmember Rice' Chestovich be appointed as First Acting Mayor and Councilmember Paul Ciernia be appointed as Second Acting Mayor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that Clerk Administrator Barnes be reappointed Civil Defense Director for the year 1984. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Eggert then presented the remainder of the Council appointments for the year 1984. 1 sl CHESTOVICH AS FIRST ACTING MAYOR, CIERNIA AS SECOND ACTING MAYOR CLERK ADMIN. DESIGNATED AS CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR COUNCIL APPTS.I Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that Eugene Pakoy EUGENE PAKOY be reappointed as Gas Inspector for the year 1984. Motion carried GAS INSPECTOR unanimously. Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that Larry Squires be reappointed as Building Inspector for the year 1984. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that Robert Clausen be reappointed as Electrical Inspector for the year 1984. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that Richard Alquist be reappointed as Plumbing Inspector for the year 1984. Motion carried unanimously. LARRY SQUIRES BUILDING INSPECTOR ROBERT CLAUSEN, ELEC- TRICAL INSPECTOR RICHARD ALQUIS PLUMBING INSPECTOR Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that Fred Baker, Jr. be appointed as Horticulturist for the year 1984. Motion carried FRED BAKER unanimously. HORTICULTURIST Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that the resignations PLANNING COMM. of Annette Geistfeld and James Bourquin from the Planning Commission be RESIGNATIONS accepted with regret. Motion carried unanimously. GEISTFELD/ BOURQUIN Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, to accept with regret the resignation of Donald Grittner from the Human Rights Commission. HUMAN RIGHTS Motion carried unanimously. RESIGNATION GRITTNER Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that Tom Hove, 1905 Tatum, be appointed to the Human Rights Commission for a three year term. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that Donald Grittner, 1718 Arona, be appointed to the Planning Commission for a three year term. Motion carried unanimously. HUMAN RIGHTS APPOINTMENT TOM HOVE PLANNING COMM. APPOINTMENT GRITTNER Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that Jeanne Irving 1745 Tatum and Annette Geistfeld, 2173 Folwell, be appointed to the Park APPOINTMENT and Recreation Commission for a three year term. Motion carried unanimously.PARK & REC. IRVING/ Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that GEISTFELD Resolution 84-4 be adopted. Motion carried unanimously.
