MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MAY 9, 1984 PAGE 2 Due to the fact that several Councilmembers will be at the League 6/13/84 Convention in Duluth and would not be in attendance at the June 13, MEETING 1984 meeting, Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, CANCELLED that the Meeting of June 13th be cancelled and that a Special Meeting SPECIAL MEET- be scheduled for June 12, 1984 at 7:00 P.M. Motion carried unanimously. ING ON 6/12 Following a short discussion, Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Council- PUBLIC HEAR- member Chestovich, that the Public Hearing on Establishing an Assessment ING ON Policy be scheduled for June 27, 1984 at 8:00 P.M. Motion carried ASSESSMENT unanimously. Council also directed the Clerk Administrator to obtain POLICY ON prices of an overhead projector as such equipment would be an asset 6/27/84 at the hearing. ~~ Attorney Gasteazoro explained the State Law allocating the authority to IDB BOND issue Industrial Development Bonds and that it is unlikely Falcon Heights RULING will be able to assist Bullseye Golf in their development if the proposed Federal Law is enacted. Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that CHECK Check ~~16665, issued April 25, 1984 to Cy's Uniforms in the amount of X616665 $16.80 be cancelled. Motion carried unanimously. CANCELLED Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that CHECK Check X616665, issued April 20, 1984 to the Ramsey County Conciliation X616653 Court in the amount of $7.00 be cancelled and that replacement check in CANCELLED the amount of $6.00 be issued. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that Check X616534 in the amount of $674.25, issued to Bonestroo and Associates on February 29, 1984 be cancelled and that a replacement check be issued. (Check lost in the ma`il.) Motion carried unanimously. CHECK X616534 CANCELLED Council reviewed a request from N. L. Hermes to blacktop a 90 x 122 foot strip of boulevard adjacent to Larpenteur Avenue. Mr. Hermes had previously made the request in August of 1983 and the matter was deferred pending the outcome of proposed development of the Larpenteur/Snelling area. Council concurred that the green space should be maintained to be in conformance with the plantings and lawn at Harvest States and as will be required in the development of the northeast and southeast quadrants. After the discussion, Council directed the Clerk Administrator to draft a letter to Mr. Hermes explaining the reason for maintaining the green space. Mayor Eggert opened the Public Hearing on Amendments to the Tax Increment Financing Plan at 7:30 P.M. The Affidavit of Publication was available for examination. Financial Consultant Chenoweth reviewed the changes in the Plan as recommended by the City's Bond Attorney and there being no one wishing to be heard, recommended that Council adopt the resolution prepared by Attorney Gasteazoro. Mayor Eggert closed the Public Hearing at 7:42 P.M. Mayor .Eggert then moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that Resolution 84-17 be adopted. REQUEST FROM N.L.
