MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 9, 1984 <br />PAGE 2 <br />Due to the fact that several Councilmembers will be at the League 6/13/84 <br />Convention in Duluth and would not be in attendance at the June 13, MEETING <br />1984 meeting, Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, CANCELLED <br />that the Meeting of June 13th be cancelled and that a Special Meeting SPECIAL MEET- <br />be scheduled for June 12, 1984 at 7:00 P.M. Motion carried unanimously. ING ON 6/12 <br />Following a short discussion, Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Council- PUBLIC HEAR- <br />member Chestovich, that the Public Hearing on Establishing an Assessment ING ON <br />Policy be scheduled for June 27, 1984 at 8:00 P.M. Motion carried ASSESSMENT <br />unanimously. Council also directed the Clerk Administrator to obtain POLICY ON <br />prices of an overhead projector as such equipment would be an asset 6/27/84 <br />at the hearing. <br />~~ <br />Attorney Gasteazoro explained the State Law allocating the authority to IDB BOND <br />issue Industrial Development Bonds and that it is unlikely Falcon Heights RULING <br />will be able to assist Bullseye Golf in their development if the proposed <br />Federal Law is enacted. <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that CHECK <br />Check ~~16665, issued April 25, 1984 to Cy's Uniforms in the amount of X616665 <br />$16.80 be cancelled. Motion carried unanimously. CANCELLED <br /> <br />Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that CHECK <br />Check X616665, issued April 20, 1984 to the Ramsey County Conciliation X616653 <br />Court in the amount of $7.00 be cancelled and that replacement check in CANCELLED <br />the amount of $6.00 be issued. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that Check <br />X616534 in the amount of $674.25, issued to Bonestroo and Associates <br />on February 29, 1984 be cancelled and that a replacement check be <br />issued. (Check lost in the ma`il.) Motion carried unanimously. <br />CHECK <br />X616534 <br />CANCELLED <br />Council reviewed a request from N. L. Hermes to blacktop a 90 x 122 <br />foot strip of boulevard adjacent to Larpenteur Avenue. Mr. Hermes <br />had previously made the request in August of 1983 and the matter <br />was deferred pending the outcome of proposed development of the <br />Larpenteur/Snelling area. Council concurred that the green space <br />should be maintained to be in conformance with the plantings and <br />lawn at Harvest States and as will be required in the development <br />of the northeast and southeast quadrants. After the discussion, <br />Council directed the Clerk Administrator to draft a letter to Mr. <br />Hermes explaining the reason for maintaining the green space. <br />Mayor Eggert opened the Public Hearing on Amendments to the Tax <br />Increment Financing Plan at 7:30 P.M. The Affidavit of Publication <br />was available for examination. <br />Financial Consultant Chenoweth reviewed the changes in the Plan as <br />recommended by the City's Bond Attorney and there being no one wishing <br />to be heard, recommended that Council adopt the resolution prepared by <br />Attorney Gasteazoro.
