(continued) <br />The rental equipment accounted for only 1.8 percent of their total <br />sales last year. A discussion ensued regarding charges made for <br />the license fees, how they should be determined, and what they are <br />used for--to pay the administrative costs. Councilmember Eggert <br />is in concurrence with Mr. Hofeld's request. Therefore, he moved, <br />seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that they only be charged one <br />license fee and not two license fees in view of the fact that less <br />than two percent of their business comes from the rental equipment. <br />There is no state law requiring a license for rental equipment. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The license fee charges for Jim Korf, Falcon Heights Barbers, will <br />be considered at the next Council meeting. <br />Doug Wood, from the Ramsey County Environmental Health Department, SLIDE PRESEIQT- <br />gave a slide presentation on solid waste management in the county. ATION FROM <br />He outlined specific tasks of the Waste Management Act passed by RAMSEY COUNTY <br />the Legislature that must be carried out by the county. The County ENVIRONMENTAL <br />Board appointed an Advisory Committee to make recommendations to HEALTH DEPT. <br />them. A slide presentation discussed some of the alternatives that <br />can be implemented and that probably will be implemented over the <br />next five years. <br />Councilmember Larson asked if information (a brochure) is available <br />that could be included with the Falcon Heights newsletter; some- <br />thing with specific instructions so that citizens could take a more <br />active part. Mr. Wood advised that they do have information and <br />brochures and would make them available to the City. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the WINE LICENSE <br />wine license be renewed for Northstar Pizza (Shakey's). Motion NORTHSTAR PIZZA <br />carried unanimously. (SHAKEY'S) <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, LIQUOR LICENSE <br />that the liquor license (including the Sunday liquor license) be LIDO CAFE <br />renewed for the Lido Cafe. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Bids for an "Off Sale" sign at the municipal liquor store were OFF SALE SIGN <br />discussed. Due to the fact that a new sign is so costly, adding AT MUNICIPAL <br />the words "Off Sale" to the existing sign was explored. The matter LIQUOR STORE <br />was tabled until the next City Council meeting. The Clerk <br />Administrator was instructed to obtain bids for painting the side <br />panels. <br />The City of Roseville requested that the City of Falcon Heights SIREN <br />not blow the siren at noon and 9:00 P.M. and only use the siren <br />for tornados, etc. Councilmember Chestovich asked where the <br />request originated. Clerk Administrator Barnes advised that the <br />
