He 1t~.2I~ ti's. HOYT <br />indicated he had paid the initial X500.00 for the appeal but has made <br />it possible for others to join in the appeal at a cost of X10.00 each. MEETING OF <br />11/10/82 & <br />Following a discussion, Mayor ?~7arkentien moved, seconded by Council- 11/24/82 <br />member Larson, that the regular November Council Meetings scheduled for CAivCELLED <br />November 10, 1982 and November 2~, 1982 be cancelled and that Special SPECIAL ft"IEETINGS <br />Meetings be scheduled for November !~, 1982 and November 23, 1982. Motion 11/L~/82 & <br />carried unanimously. 11/23/82 <br />Mayor 11'arkentien presented a request from ~4aurine C. Henderson, 215l~ LATE PENALTY FOR <br />Folwell, request that the past due penalty on her sanitary sewer charge Phi. HENDERSCN, <br />be excused due to the fact that her check •xas lost in the mail. P~.ayor 215l~ FOLV~~LL• <br />Juarkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the penalty EXCUSED <br />be excused. I~4otion carried unanimously. <br />A request was received from P~Iartha Rukavina, 1659 Maple Knoll, to place REC;UEST FOR <br />a street sign in the median at Garden and Snelling. Councilmember CierniaSTREET SIGN <br />recommended that the request be tabled until the State Highway Department AT GARDEN & <br />makes a decision regarding the upgrading of Snelling. SNELLIlV'G <br />Iv1EDIA2d DEFERRED <br />After a discussion on charging lock out fees when deputies are called <br />to open vehicle doors when owners have locked themselves out, Council- NO LOCK CUT <br />member Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that a fee FEES TC BE <br />will not be charged for this service. Motion carried unanimously. CHARGED <br />Mayor V!arkentien advised that a flyer was sent out regarding safety on <br />Halloween. Councilmember Chestovich requested the Council to direct <br />the Recreation. Department to look into the feasibility of having some <br />type of organized activity for Halloween, 1983. Councilmember Ciernia <br />via 11 have this request put on the Recreation ageric'a frr the ;:ext meeting. <br />Coaricil c.iscussed the number of citations being dismissed by the City <br />Prosecuting Attorney after which the Clerk Administrator was directed <br />to investigate the possibility of obtaining a new prosecutor. <br />Councilmember Ciernia read a. letter from Joar. Peizer, Ramsey County <br />Elections Bureau, advising that for the general election on November 2 <br />the residents of the State Fairgrounds must vote by absentee ballot. <br />Attorney Swanson had discussed the fact, that the Fairgrounds is no <br />longer a part of Falcon Heights i^rith Assistant Attorney General Kent <br />Harbinson and tre County Attorney and the decision was made to permit <br />vcting by absentee ballot. <br />Councilmember Eggert felt the natter of Cable TV" st-iould be discussed <br />with.
