MINUTES as ~ <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 10, 1983 <br />PAGE 3 <br />with the condition that the school grounds would remain open to the DAC <br />public as is presently done and that adequate supervision be provided (cont.) <br />both outside and inside for DAC participants. Mr. Borg assured that <br />the grounds would still be made available for the City recreation <br />program. After further discussion, Councilmember Ciernia moved, <br />seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the conditional use be approved. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the ASSESSMENT <br />assessment hearing on improvements in Falcon Woods 2 and 3 and other HEARING ON <br />benefiting properties be scheduled for September 7, 1983 at 7:30 P.M. FALCON WOODS <br />and that the Clerk Administrator be authorized to publish notice of 2 & 3 IMPROV. <br />such hearing. Motion carried unanimously. TO BE HELD <br /> 9/7/83 <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the <br />regular City Council meeting scheduled for September 14, 1983 be 9/14/83 MEE- <br />cancelled and that a special City Council meeting be held on TING CANCE- <br />September 7, 1983 at 7:00 P.M. Motion carried unanimously. LLED SPECIAL <br /> MEETING ON <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia to 9/7/83 <br />set an assessment hearing for delinquent sanitary sewer charges <br />on September 7, 1983 at 8:30 P.M. and authorize the Clerk Administrator ASSESSMENT <br />to publich notice of such hearing. Motion carried unanimously. HEARING ON <br /> DELINQUENT <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that Hewlett Packard SANITARY <br />has provided the City with a copy of their deed to the Hermes SEWER CHARGES <br />property dated August 1, 1983. Hewlett Packard will be in- 9/7/83 <br />creasing the size of their existing pond and installing their <br />own outlet as Good Value Homes has built their drainage ponds HEWLETT PACK- <br />on their own property. ARD PURCHASES <br /> HERMES PROP- <br />Councilmember Eggert explained that it will be necessary for ERTY i <br />the City to budget $7,000 for Cable TV as the City will be asked <br />to appropriate monies for a short period and will then be re- CABLE TV <br />imbursed by Group W Cable Company. <br /> BUDGET <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, WORKSHOP <br />that a Budget Workshop be scheduled for August 17, 1983 at ON 8/17/83 <br />7:00 P.M. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes advised that the Civil Defense Siren CIVIL DEFENSE <br />has been ordered. However, problems regarding activation need SIREN ON <br />to be resolved. He has scheduled a meeting with several ORDER <br />authorities on the subject to determine how to activate the <br />siren from two sources--the weather bureau and locally. <br /> AGREEMENT <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes notified Council that the agreement WITH BULLSEYE <br />between Bullseye Golf and the City expired 1`ugust 8, 1983. GOLF EXPIRES <br />Dina Stemwedel, a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee, ATTORNEY TO <br />stated that progress is being made on development plans for REQUEST AN <br />the Larpenteur/Snelling corner. Council directed the City EXTENSION <br />Attorney to contact Bullseye concerning a possible extension <br />of the agreement. <br />
