Review by the Metro Council of those recipients <br />of Section 8 as to whether their staff will give <br />a proposal to set Section 8 program up on a dual <br />purpose program so that senior citizens would <br />have an equal chance as university students have. <br />Possibly set it up on a 50/50 program so that <br />senior citizens would have an allocation of funds <br />available to them. <br />Mayor Warkentien submitted the following names for <br />appointment to the Human Rights Commission. New appoint- <br />ments: Ken and/or Doris Sackett, reappointments: Philip <br />Chenoweth, Walter McF~rland and George Carver. <br />Councilman McGough moved, seconded by Councilman Black to <br />appoint the following members for terms as follows: <br />Ken and/or Doris Sackett term expires 12/31/80 <br />Philip Chenoweth " " 12/31/80 <br />George Carver " " 12/21/80 <br />Walter McFarland " " 12/31/80 <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Brown the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />It was noted that a vacancy still exists with Andy Holdorf <br />moving from the city who's term expires 12/31/79 <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele to <br />re-issue a duplicate check in the amount of $34.00 to <br />Pat McGough, Rink Attendent as the original was destroyed. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Brown the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Attorney Kenefick discussed at length Ordinance 118 pro- <br />posed revisions on front yard parking. Councilmembers <br />discussed several issues that could cause problems in <br />enforcing the proposed revisions such as: termination <br />date, type and number of vehicles on unsurfaced areas, <br />additional parking in rear and side yard. Attorney <br />Kenefick is to incorporate the suggested changes for <br />the next council meeting. <br />Mayor Warkentien brought up for discussion snow fence <br />erection in front yards. Mayor Warkentien moved that <br />we allow the erection of one snow fence in the front <br />yard, not to exceed 42" in height from November 15 to <br />April 1st., Councilman McGough seconded. Upon a vote <br />being taken the following voted "nay": None.
