MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 22, 1978 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />1 <br />~~ <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed council that RAMSEY COUNTY <br />Ramsey County intends to bill monthly policing costs BILLING <br />in advance in lieu of the present policy which is <br />after the services are rendered. There was no <br />objection by council on this policy. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes advised council that <br />Mr. Skip Drake, manager of the Gibbs Farm has re- <br />signed as of March 15, 1978 to assume a simular <br />position at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. <br />Council was advised the Liquor Store Manager, George <br />Willkom was attending a State House Committee meeting <br />this evening (2-22-78) in behalf of the city supporting <br />House File 1388 which related to minimum mark up on <br />sale of liquor over wholesale prices. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported he has the assess- <br />ment rolls prepared for the 1977 street improvement <br />and requested council to set the public hearing dates <br />for Idaho Avenue. Councilman McGough moved, seconded <br />by Acting Mayor Black to authorize the Clerk Adminis- <br />trator to publish the public hearings for the 22nd of <br />March 1978 <br />RESOLUTION 78-9 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED <br />AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED <br />ASSESSMENT IN CONNECTION WITH IDAHO AVE. <br />CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENT OF 1977 AND <br />CALLING FOR ASSESSMENT HEARING <br />MR. SKIP DRAKE <br />GIBBS FARM <br />GEORGE WILLKOM <br />LIQUOR STORE <br />MANAGER <br />ASSESSMENT <br />HEARING - <br />IDAHO AVENUE <br />CURB 8 GUTTER <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Acting <br />Mayor Black, Councilmembers McGough and Brown the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Clouncilman McGough moved, seconded by Acting Mayor ASSESSMENT <br />Black to authorize Clerk Administrator Barnes to HEARING - <br />publish the public hearings for assessment of Holly- HOLLYWOOD COURT <br />wood Court Street and Alley improvement for April STREET 8 ALLEY <br />12, 1978. <br />RESOLUTION 78-8 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED <br />AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED <br />ASSESSMENT IN CONNECTION WITH HOLLYWOOD <br />COURT STREET AND ALLEY IMPROVEMENT AND <br />CALLING FOR ASSESSMENT HEARING. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Acting Mayor Black, Councilmembers McGough and Brown <br />the following voted "nay": None.
