Councilman Steele moved, seconded <br />by Councilman McGough not to purchase a new door for <br />the fire station. The following voted "aye": Council- <br />members McGough, Steele and Brown the following voted <br />"nay": Mayor Warkentien and Councilmember Black. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Renchin discussed holding an Open House for OPEN HOUSE <br />the new fire equipment. It was suggested that the open FIRE EQUIPMENT <br />house be held on the first weekend that the clean up <br />dump is open. Then the flyer for the clean up notice <br />would include the open house information that will be <br />passed out throughout the city. <br />Fire Chief Renchin reviewed the application made for AMBULANCE <br />the ambulance. At this time, they have not looked for <br />private .funding, as the application for federal funding <br />has not come through as yet. Fire Chief Renchin again <br />expressed the need for one in the city and feels the sheriff <br />squad is not adequate to handle the current type of <br />operation. The cost per run could be $35.00 to $40.00 <br />per run. Also, the type of service that Unity provides <br />versus what we could provide for our people,plus cost <br />involved was .discussed. Rescue runs are up from last <br />year and continue to increase. <br />Mayor Warkentien noted the letter received from <br />Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Assoc., regarding the <br />engineering fee schedule. Councilman Steele moved <br />to table the discussion to the April 26th meeting <br />seconded by Councilman Black. Upon a vote being taken <br />the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />members Black, McGough, Steele and Brown, the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Attorney Kenefick reported on the gas franchise (NSP) <br />No action taken. <br />ENGINEERING FEE <br />SCHEDULE <br />NSP GAS FRAN- <br />CHISE <br />Councilman Black brought out for discussion the public PUBLIC HEARING <br />hearing for the subdivision of Labalestra Park, the LABALESTRA PARK <br />Planning Commission met on the 10th of April, 1978 <br />regarding the subdivision of Labalestra Park, it was <br />noted that Mr. Labalestra has the required surveys <br />Councilman Black moved publication of the public hearing <br />for May 10, 1978 at 8:00 p.m. subject to the Clerk <br />Administrator receiving the legal data required for <br />publication by May 1st, 1978, seconded by Councilmember <br />Brown. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele <br />and Brown the following voted "nay": None. Motion <br />carried. <br />
