MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 10, 1978 <br />Page 3, <br />Mayor Warkentien called on Mr. Tom Staffa, 1870 Tatum <br />regarding his letter on the clean up dump and the <br />possible recycling of unused items that could be used <br />by other people. Mr, Staffa stated that a tricycle was there <br />that he could have used, the personel staffing the area <br />were courteous, but would not allow removal. Council <br />discussed the problem of liabilities to the city in the <br />event of an injury. No action taken. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported on the progress of <br />the St. Anthony Storm Sewer project and stated he had <br />received a call from Clint Hewitt, U of M engineer. <br />Mr. Hewitt did not feel he should submit the proposal <br />to the Regents due to lack of time. Clerk Administrator <br />Barnes. suggested that it be brought to their attention <br />in any event due to the time element on our part. <br />Councilmember Brown moved to adopt Resolution 78-13, to <br />file pre-application on the St. Anthony Storm Sewer <br />Project, with no commitment to the City of Falcon Heights, <br />seconded by Councilmember Steele. <br />RESOLUTION 78-13 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights is <br />interested in applying for a grant under <br />Small Cities Grants, HUD, to assist the <br />City in draining the area included in the <br />St.Anthony Storm Sewer area in the amount <br />of $750,000 and, <br />WHEREAS, it is required to have the City <br />make pre-application on or before May 15, 1978. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Brown and the following voted "nay"; None. .Motion <br />carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption; <br />RESOLUTION 78-14 <br />WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey is proposing <br />to reconstruct Roselawn Avenue from Snelling <br />Avenue to Fairview Avenue with financial <br />assistance of the Cities of Falcon Heights <br />and Roseville <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Brown and the following voted "nay": None.
