MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 27, 1978 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Attorney Kenefick requested Council advise and give ORDINANCE 64 <br />specific guidelines for parking provisions in a PARKING <br />Residential district. PROVISIONS <br />[ '~ <br />Discussion was held on the following points of concern: <br />Number of cars parked in the rear yard when not surfaced, <br />number of cars on a surfaced area, and number of cars <br />which can be parked on a driveway. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember <br />Black to refer the matter to the Planning Commission <br />for their recommendations. Upon a vote being taken <br />the following voted ^aye^: Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />members Black, McGough and Brown and the following <br />voted ^nay^: None. Councilmember Steele abstained. <br />Motion carried. Attorney Kenefick was directed to <br />spell out the section to be reviewed by the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Prosecuting Attorney Riach appeared before Council and <br />informed them that his contract as Prosecuting Attorney <br />would remain as in 1978 contract. Councilman Steele <br />requested Attorney Riach give us a quarterly report <br />from his office on cases prosecuted. Attorney Riach <br />advised the Council he would comply with the request- <br />Mayor Warkentien advised Councilman Steele that Council <br />had reviewed the Budget on September 20, 1978 at a <br />Special Meeting when Councilman Steele had another com- <br />mitment. The Mayor mentioned a discussion was held in <br />respect to maintaining four or two hockey rinks during <br />the winter. <br />Janet Brown, Chairperson of the Park Development Com- <br />mittee of Falcon Heights appeared before the Council to <br />request the Council to consider in the Park Budget the <br />following: <br />1. $500.aD to be donated for the Falcon Heights <br />Elementary School grounds equipment, Big Toy, <br />which is to cost $6,000.00, the school to erect <br />maintain and assume liability. <br />2. Fun and Fitness trail at the Falcon Heights <br />Community Park which is estimated at $2,000.00. <br /> <br />3. $1,000.00 for trees and shrubs at the Falcon <br />Heights Community Park. This would be in add- <br />ition to a donation program by the citizens. <br />1979 BUDGET <br />REVIEW <br />4. Idaho-Snelling park, $3,000.00 for equipment to <br />be placed in the southerly area of the park. <br />Councilmember Brown suggested the Council decide whether <br />4 or 2 rinks shall be maintained. <br />
