.~ <br />MINUTES <br />R~ULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 1~., 1979 <br />Page 3 <br />Councilmember Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warken+,.ien to authorize <br />Councilmember McGough to meet with Fire Chief Renchin to set guidelines <br />regarding hazax•dous activities by the Scouts. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Attorney Kenefick informed Council no bidding is required on the AMBULANCE TO <br />ambulance purchase due to the fact that it is not being purchased with BE ORDERED <br />public money, but donated funds. He also presented an agreement to <br />be signed by the City of Falcon Heights, G.T.A., and the Knights of <br />Columbus, regarding the donations for the ambulance. <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to authorize <br />Fire Chief Renchin to order the 1979 Ford Supervan Ambulance. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien informed Council that the City has a request from Hermes RESOLUTION <br />Shopping Center to install "No Parking -Fire Lane" signs at 1607 West 79•~g <br />Larper~t9ur Avenue. <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by CounciLnember Brawn to adopt <br />Resolution 79-8- <br />RESOLUTION 79-8 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF NO PARKING <br />FIRE LANE SIGNS AT 1607 WEST LARPENTEUR AVENUE (HER.MES <br />SHOPPING CENTER) <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough and Brown and the following voted "nay": <br />None: Motion carried. <br />Councilmember Black presented the proposed vacation schedules for City VACATION. <br />employees. After some discussion, Councilmember Black moved, seconded SCHEDULES FOR <br />by Mayor Warkentien to instruct Attorney Kenefa.ck to prepare a Reso- CI`T'Y EMPLOYEE: <br />lution adopting the following vacation schedule for full time employees: <br />~ days for 6 months employment -another 5 days for 12 months <br />10 days for ,each year's employment <br />15 days for each year after 10 years employment <br />20 days for each year after 1,5 years employment <br />Vacation must be used within l2 months or it will be lost. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />members Black, McGo~~,~h and Brown, and the following noted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilmember Black also informed Council that Clerk Administrator Barnes CLERK-ADM. <br />h'as 31 days of unused vacation time and suggested that the Clerk Adminis- UNUSED <br />trator be compensated in some way for this unused vacation time. After VACATION TIM <br />a discussion Councilmember Black moved, seconded by Councilmember McGough, <br />to pay Clerk Administrator Barnes for 1/2 tame for 30 days or $1,20..00, <br />plus 15 days vacation for the ziext throe years.
