MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MF,ETING <br />MAY 9, 1979 <br />Page 4 <br />33 <br />Councilmember Kurpiewski informed Council that K and K.Hardware had DEBRIS IN <br />registered a complaint regarding debris (bottles-beer cans) in the alley ALLEY AND <br />and Flameburger parking lot at 1533 W. Larpenteur. FLAMEBURGER <br />PARKING LOT <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Y.urpiewski, to <br />authorize Clerk Administrator Barnes to write the Flameburger owner <br />requesting that they more carefully police their parking area on a <br />daily basis and that it will be inspected periodically and thath if in <br />the opinion of the City Council, the area is not kept clear of refuse <br />then there would be punitive ~ action taken, which would be iri the form <br />of the issuance of a citation. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Michelle Foster and Pat Dady of Rauenhorst Corp., presented to Council MICHELLE <br />the site plan and landscaping plan for the Hewlett Packard office FOSTER AND <br />building to be built at 2025 1J. Larpenteur, and asked Council's approval. PAT DADY, <br />RAUEPIHORST: <br />Pat Dady, Project Manager, Rauer~k~orst Corp., explained to Council the CORP.-HEWLETT- <br />drainage plan for the Hewlett Packard site. He informed that the plan PACKARD <br />is to construct an underground rock basin which would allow the water BUILDING <br />to percolate down through the ground. There will be a system of roof <br />drains which will be piped into a storm sewer system, which will run <br />into the underground rock basin. Water from the buildings and parking <br />lots will go into the strom drainage system thus handling the run off <br />water on the site rather than running into Larpenteur Avenue or the <br />neighbor's property. The system would also make it simple to connect <br />to a storm sewer if one is ever constructed. <br />Engineor Lemberg approved of the plan, but requested that the holding tank ENGINEER <br />b© cleaned out once or twice a year and that the system be monitored LEM$ERG <br />periodically. <br />Rauenhorst Corporation, with Council's approval, will have a drawing made <br />showing the proposed berm and fence in proportion to the homes and a <br />copy will be sent to each homeowner affected, together with an envelope <br />addressed to the City of Falcon Heights and a request for comments from <br />the neighbors. Councilmember NtcGough requested the letter be sent re- <br />gistered mail. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember K urpiewski, to permit <br />Ra.uenhorst Corp. to grade the Hewlett Packard property as presented to <br />Council. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 79-1lt RESOLUTION <br />79 -].1~ <br />A RESOLUTION F?I;LATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON GARDEN <br />AVENUE FROM PASCAL STREET ~ NORTH SNELLING AVENUE <br />(RESTRICTING PARKING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF GARDEN AVENUE) <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown to approve <br />Resolution 79-11~, restricting parking on the north side of Garden Ave. <br />from Pascal Strut to N. Snelling Avenue. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
