<br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, to ban parking on MOTION BANNING
<br />one side of each street in Falcon Heights (fire hydrant sides), during PARKING ON ONE
<br />the twelve days of the Minnesota State Fair. Upon a vote being taken, SIDE OF EACH
<br />the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, STREET DURING
<br />Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion FAIR TIME
<br />carried.
<br />Mr. Clarence Nelson's letter, regarding sidewalk condition on California MR. NELSONS
<br />Avenue between Albert and Pascal, was noted by the Council. It was noted LETTER REGARDING
<br />replacement of concrete would run between X1.30 and $1.50 per square foot SIDEWALK AT
<br />depending upon the size of the project. The Council directed Clerk -Admin- CALIFORNIA
<br />istrator Barnes to send a copy of Engineer Lemberg's letter to Mr. Nelson. BETWEEN PASCAL

<br />Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to deny the REQUEST OF
<br />request of Howard Esty to have Falcon Heights pay a portion of his sewer HOWARD ESTY
<br />repair bill, due to a resolution passed at an earlier date on the subject. FOR SEWER

<br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None.

<br />Councilman Black presented the discussion on the variance request of VARIANCE REQUEST
<br />Heinrich Loos, 1502 Arona, to move a house from Mendota Heights into OF HEINRICH
<br />Falcon Heights at 1889 North Snelling Drive. He read the letter from LOOS TO MOPE
<br />Building Inspector Squires.-that indicated approval of the structure, HOUSE INTO
<br />and file minutes of the Planning Commission meeting recommending appro- FALCON HEIGHTS
<br />val of the variance, subject to the approval of Dr. Ballard, his neigh-
<br />bor to the immediate south.
<br />Councilman B1a,ck moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to approve the VARIANCE REQUEST

<br />the general payrroll of May 1-15 in the amount e-f $3,327.87 Upon a vote PAYROLL
