<br />George Wintz, Jr., 11416 West Idaho, has requested a variance for
<br />a 5 foot easterlT sideyard setback to construct a one-story
<br />family room addition to his existing two-story home. The
<br />adjacent structure is a one-story residence. The Planning
<br />Commission recommended approval at their meeting of April 12,
<br />1976. Written approval was given by the affected neighbor.
<br />Moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to
<br />approve the variance as requested by George L. Wintz, Jr.,
<br />allowing him to construct an addition to his home with a 5 foot
<br />sideyard setback. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted
<br />"aye's: Mayor Wark®ntien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and
<br />Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried.

<br />Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Councilman Ecklund GARDEN AVENUE
<br />to appoint a Citizens' Advisory Committee consisting of Mr. WilliamTR.AFFIC STUDY
<br />Brown, 1808 Asbury, Mr. James Pratt, 1811 Arona, and Mr. Robert COMMITTEE
<br />Lamb, 1811 Simpson, as initial meanbers for the purpose of advising
<br />the Falcon Heights City Council on the various feasible alternatives
<br />for the possible alteration and maintenance of Garden Avenue between
<br />Hamline and Snelling and that the Mayor appoint Councilman John
<br />Labalestra to act as a liaison between the Council and the Citizens'
<br />Advisory Committee with the stipulation that any proposed expenditures
<br />by the Commi$~ee must have prior Council approval.
<br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman Black to amend
<br />the motion with th® addition that Councilman Labalestra, as Council
<br />liaison to the Committee, is to feel free to call on the City
<br />Consulting Engineer at any tine. Upon a vote being taken on the
<br />amendment, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Council-
<br />men Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted
<br />"nay": None. Motion carried.

<br />to approve the Minutes of the meeting of April 8, 1976, as MINUTES:
<br />corrected. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": APRIL 8, 1976

<br />Labalestra, and the following voted s'nay": None. Motion carried.
<br />Mayor Warkentien summarized the Crime Laboratory report, No. FALCON LANES
<br />761012, made by the St. Paul Departanent of Police, regarding BOTTLE CLUB
<br />evidence seized at Falcon Lanes, 1550 Larp®nteur Avenue, during LICENSE
<br />an apparent liquor violation, listed as "After Hours Closing",
<br />on April 14, 1976.
