Minutes <br />Regular Meeting <br />September 23, 1976 <br />pie 2 <br />Engineer Lemberg read the Preliminary Report of the Feasibility Report <br />of curb and gutter installation on Idaho Avenue from Arona to Pascal <br />which was compiled by Honestroo, Rosene and Anderlik & Assoc., Inc. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to direct <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes to inform all resident of Idaho Avenue <br />of a public informational meeting on the proposed pro3ect, to be held <br />at the City Hall on Thursday, October 28, 1976, in conjunction with <br />the regular Council meeting. Upon a vote being taks~l, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Hl.ack, Ecklund, Steele and <br />Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Engineer Lemberg presented his Preliminary (Feasibility Study) in <br />regards to the repair and reconstruction of the street and alleys in <br />the Hollywood Court area. <br />Council directed Clerk-Administrator Barnes to put an informational <br />meeting on the agenda for the second meeting in January, 1977. <br />Mayor Warkentien read Council a request that the City run a comtaa{n- <br />orative advertisement in behalf of Joseph Karth for services rendered. <br />Councilman Steele mowed, seconded by Councilman Labalestra to table <br />the request. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "ay®": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Steele, Black, Ecklund and Labalestra, <br />and the following voted "nay": None. Westland Construction Company in the amount <br />of $100.00 Mayor Warkentien instructed Clerk-Administrator to convey <br />formal thanks from the City in a letter to both firms. <br />Mayor Warkentien advised Council that Mr. Paul Kurpiewski, 15t~3 Iowa <br />Avenue had expressed interest in serving on the Recreation Advisory <br />Committee. <br />r~ <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra to approve <br />the appointment of Paul Kurpiewski to the Recreation Advisory Comm- <br />ittee. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele, Ecklund and Labalestra and the <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien informed Council that a request had been made by <br />Councilman Steele to authorize barricading Arona Avenue from Crawford <br />to Garden Street on September 26, 1976, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. <br />for a block party. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra, <br />and the following voted "nay": None.
