<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 22, 1977 <br />Page. 3 <br />Councilman Black reported that out of eleven firms <br />which were requested to bid on the city insurance, <br />only two firms had submitted bids as follows: <br />1. Greentree Agency, Inc. (Carl A. Bennetsen) <br />Suite 300-822 Marquette Ave <br />Minneapolis, Minn 55402 <br />Liquor Liab. <br />$3,464.00 <br />2. Paul J. Breher Agency (Home Ins.) <br />625 Stryker Avenue <br />St. Paul, Minn 55107 <br />Liquor Liab. <br />$3,812.66 <br />Workman's Comp. <br />$3,734.00 <br />General Automobile Liab. <br />$1,612.00 <br />1 <br /> <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Labalestra to award the 1978 Workman's Compensation <br />policy in the amount of $3,734.00 and General Auto- <br />mobile Liability Ins. in the amount of $1,612.00 to <br />Paul J. Breher Agency and award Greentree Agency, Inc <br />the 1978 Liquor Liability Ins. policy in the amount <br />of $3,464.00. Upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />McGough, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reviewed with council the <br />increase of sanitary sewer rates. Payment for 1978 <br />to the Metropolitan Waste Control would be $190,612. <br />This would raise the residential rate from $10.00 to <br />$13.00 per quarter and commercial from .35~ a thousand <br />to .50~ a thousand in order to meet our cost to Metro. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved the adoption of Ordinance #158 <br />which will bring the quarterly charge for single <br />dwelling to $13.00 per quarter and increase commercial <br />rate to .50~ per 1,000 gallons and authorize publication. <br />Councilman Steele seconded. <br />131. <br />INSURANCE BIDS <br />SANITARY SEWER <br />RATE INCREASE <br />
