Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, <br />to amend his motion to table the municipal liquor store <br />hearing to a special meeting to be held June 9, 1972, in- <br />stead of June 8, 1972. Motion as amended unanimously <br />carried. <br />Variance Request Motion by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, <br />Granted - 1482 to approve the variance request submitted by Harold Green, <br />West Idaho Avenue: 1482 West Idaho Avenue, to construct a 48 inch high wire <br />fence on thewest property line on a temporary basis until <br />October 1, 1972, to albw a hedge to reach a little more <br />maturity, as the Planning Commission recommended unanimously. <br />Motion carried. <br />Subdivision of Land - Motion by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Stone, <br />1761 North Fairview to authorize the Clerk-Administrator to arrange for publi- <br />Avenue: cation in reference to the subdivision of land at 1761 <br /> North Fairview Avenue, the line to fall 199.3 feet from the <br /> west property line and 290.70 feet from the center line of <br /> Fairview Avenue, as occurred on a previous subdivision on <br /> Fairview Avenue, and that a public hearing be held at 8:00 <br /> P.M., at the Village Ha11, on the night of the regular <br /> meeting of June 22, 1972. Motion carried. <br />Variance Request Motion by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Stone, <br />Granted - 1446 to approve the variance request submitted by George L. <br />West Idaho Avenue: Wintz, Jr., 1446 West Idaho Avenue, to rebuild a 22 X 24 <br /> foot garage two feet from the alley and two feet from the <br /> adjoining lot to the east, unanimously recommended by the <br /> Planning Commission. Motion carried. <br />Municipal Retail Motion by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Stone, <br />Liauor Dispensary - to adopt Ordinance No. 120: <br />Ordinance No. 120: <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH AND REGULATE THE OPERATION <br />OF A MUNICIPAL RETAIL LIQUOR DISPENSARY <br />AYES: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Stone, Taylor. <br />NAY: Councilman Ecklund. Motion carried. <br />1972 Sealcoating After discussion, Engineer Lemberg stated that the north- <br />Project: west quadrant area would require sealcoating and a proposal <br />would be drawn up by Engineer Lemberg to be presented at <br />the meeting of June 8, 1972. <br />Transit Study's A letter was read from the University of Minnesota request- <br />Representative: ing a Village representative to serve on the University <br />Area Transit Study's Community Advisory Committee. Mayor <br />Warkentien appointed Clerk-Administrator Barnes to serve <br />as representative. Councilmen Black and Ecklund will serve <br />as alternates. <br />
