~3 <br />AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE <br />SUBJECT TO THE SPECIFICATIONS PREPARED BY PROGRESSIVE <br />DESIGN ASSOCIATES, INCLUDING A COMPLETION DATE OF <br />DECEMBER 1, 1972, AND A LIQUIDATION DAMAGES CLAUSE <br />FOR X100 FOR EACH DAY THE CONTRACTOR EXCEEDS THE <br />COMPLETION DATE, AND THAT THE BIDS BE RECEIVED BY <br />AUGUST 31, 1972, by 2:00 P.M. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution <br />was duly seconded by Mayor Warkentien, and upon a vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Stone, Ecklund, and <br />Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted against: <br />None, ti•.'hereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and <br />adopted. <br />Fixtures for Plotion by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />Liquor Store: that the Village Council engage Display Fixtures Inc. to <br />prepare specifications for the cooler, shelves, gondolas <br />and conveyer system, for a fee of 5~ subject to the proposal <br />in their letter of August !~, 1972. to be prss.ented to the <br />Council at the meeting of August 21}, 1972. Motion carried. <br />Request for A re-zoning request was received from Art Lindig for Lot 3, <br />Rezoning by Block 1, Lindig's 3rd Addition from R-1 to R-2. Motion by <br />Art Lindig: Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Stone, that the <br />request be ref erred to the Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing. Motion carried. Mr. Lindig was advised to furnish <br />the Clerk-Administrator with a list of property owners within <br />300 feet of the subject property so they may be notified of <br />public hearings to be held by the Planning Commission and <br />the Village Council as directed by Ordinance. <br />Variance Reo~uest - A variance application was submitted by Clem A. Lehnen, <br />1550 West Lax en- Falcon Lanes, 1550 West Larpenteur Avenue, fora running <br />teur Avenue: lights sign to extend 31~ inches from building. The Planning <br />Commission has reviewed and recommended denial to the <br />application. The zoning Ordinance requires that signs not <br />extend more than 18 inches. Motion by Councilman Black, <br />seconded by CouncilV,roman Stocker, that the application for <br />variance be denied. ivlotion carried. <br />Variance Request - A variance application was received from Macey Signs, Inc., <br />151~1.~ T+~est Larpen- to install a sign for the Dawson Real Estate Company, 151}l+ <br />teur Avenue: West Larpenteur Avenue. The Planning Commission reviewed <br />and recommended denial on the basis that the proposed sign <br />projects six-feet from the building. Councilman Black moved, <br />seconded by Councilman Ecklund, that the variance be denied. <br />P~iotion carried. <br />Variance Request - Motion by Councilman Black, seconded by Mayor Z°,arkentien, <br />1721 North Holton: to grant the variance request submitted by TfIr. Martin <br />Christiansen, 1721} North Holton Avenue, to install a six- <br />, foot fence along property line. The Planning Commission <br />recom~zended acceptance. Motion carried. <br />
