+~ 9 ~ <br />Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted nay: <br />Councilman Stone, Whereupon the resolution was declared <br />duly passed and adopted. <br />Engineer's Letter Councilman Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, <br />of 11/2/72: that the Village Engineer's letter of November 2, 1972, <br />in reference to the proposed apartments at 1830 W. Lar- <br />penteur Avenue,be provided to the Building Inspector, <br />and that the Engineer contact the Building Inspector <br />on arty future developments in the apartment plan. Motion <br />carried. <br />Conditional Use An application for a conditional use permit by Daniel <br />Pezmit Request Nordell, 1lt30 W. Iowa, to erect a 60 foot radio tower in <br />by Daniel Nordell his yard at the above address, was discussed in detail. <br />1l~30 W. Iowa: Several of his neighbors were also present to discuss <br />their opinions of this tower. <br />Arthur Anderson, 11122 W. Iowa, stated that he believes <br />that it would be worthwhile and has no objection to it. <br />Will Keene, 1.138 W. Iowa, also stated that he has no <br />objection to building this tower. <br />Roger A. Lewis, 11123 W. Iowa, related he was concerned <br />about the appearance of the tower in the neighborhood. <br />Arthur P. Majarus, 111.27 W. Iowa, said he was concerned <br />about television interference. <br />Willard D. Johnson, 11;12 W. Iowa, is worried about a <br />nuisance factor, and the possibility of interference on <br />his television. He also thinks the tower will be an <br />eyesore. <br />Jack E. Lystad, 1.la.17 W. Iowa, is opposed because of pos- <br />sible television interference, and also had an objection <br />to the appearance of the tower. <br />Lloyd and Marie Horton, l<~22 W. Iowa, were opposed be- <br />cause they live next door to Nordell's and were afraid <br />that the tower would hang over the lot lines. They were <br />also worried about television interference and the fact that <br />it would be an eyesore to the neighborhood. <br />There were also t~uro letters submitted to the Council by <br />Gretel and Wi11 Keene, 11138 W. Iowa, and David A. Anderson, <br />1512 W. Idaho, explaining that they have no objections <br />to the construction of the tower. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to <br />deny the request for a conditional use permit. Motion <br />carried. <br />Roseville Summer Mr. Bob Wanner from the St. Paul Association for Retarded <br />Day Camp: Children, and Mrs. Douglas Pote, 11117 W. Idaho, were present <br />to give information and answer questions on the request <br />
