Motion
carried.
John Labelestra, Mrs. Nick Labelestra, Mike Labelestra, LIDO'S CAFE -
Gene Gesparro and Mr. John Carroll of Lido's Cafe REMODELING & ADDITION
were present at the meeting to discuss their plans
for the Lido remodeling and addition. John Labelestra
stated that to exist as a profit making business there
are three essential things that they would need. One
of their proposed improvements includes a pizza and
beer parlor downstairs catering mostly to people be-
tw~een the ages of 18 and lt0. The second is an addition
of a party room on the east side of the building, which
would be used for private parties, and the overflow
of dinner hours. This would add to the capacity of
their restaurant approximately 80 seats. The third
is making parking spaces available for the increased
capacity of the restaurant.
As of this time Lido's do have an agreement with the
Robert Hall Store which enables Lido's employees and
customers to use the Robert Ha11 parking lot. Lido's
is also negotiating with Mr. George Croft, 1700 St.
Mary's Avenue about the possibility of using Mr. Croft's
land with an option to buy for parking purposes.
Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Hermes, 1755 St. Mary's Avenue, and
their son Mr. Ralph Hermes, were present and discussed
deed restrictions and the possible effects that the
addition might have on their property, the Fi11 - Er - Up
car wash to the east of Lidos.
The Council brought up the question of rezoning the
Croft property to create parking spaces, and John
Labelestra feels that this will eventually have to be
done, but would like to complete the construction as
soon as possible because of rising construction and
labor costs.
Councilman Stone introduced the following Resolution and FINAL PAYMENT -
moved its adoption: LEE RICHERT PLUMBING
AND HEATING
RESOLUTION 73-8
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL PAYMENT TO LEE RICHERT
PLUMBING AND HEATING FOR WORK DONE ON THE MAINTENANCE
GARAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,199.50, AS PER THEIR CONTRACT
Councilman Ecklund seconded the foregoing Resolution.
Motion carried.
Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, MASTER GAS INSTALLERS
to approve the application for a Master Gas Installers LICENSE -PAUL FALZ CO.
License, submitted by the Paul Falz Company, 3It5 Atwater
Street, St. Paul, Minnesota.
