The Council feels that this type of action should be an agreement between the tenants of the building and the owner or manager. The C1ty Engir~er recommended that a clause relating to the snow- plowing of the parking lots be included in the tenants lease. The Clerk-Administrator was authorized to conduct a survey of other municipalities to see whether they have any ordinances of this type. No action was taken. It was mentioned that the report of the Falcon Heights Fire Relief Association has been sent to the Capitol, and will be heard on February 18, 197, as testimony in favor of the bill which would authorize the City Council to increase the Firemen's Pension Benefits, as reported April 26, 1973• SNOWPLOWING - PARKING LOTS FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, DEVEIAPNJfENTAL DISTRICTS to request that Senator North draft an enabling act for the City of Falcon Heights, pertaining to developmental districts, to be approved by the City Attorney and the Council. Motion carried. Councilwcrnan Stocker reported that the Community Education Recreation Advisory Committee is requesting that the City Council appoint one representative to the casmnittee, that the Falcon Heights Recreation Advisory Committee appoint one representative to the comeaittee, and asked for suggestions by the Council of residents, one of whom would be appointed at-large to the committee. Councilwoman Stocker stated that if there were no ob- ~ections by the other members of the Council, she would represent the Council. Clerk-Administrator Barnes reported that the park agreements for the proposed park at Roselawn and Cleveland Avenues, leased from the University of Minnesota for twenty years, have been finalized. RECREATIONAL COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE PARK AGREENSENTS Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, MAINTENANCE MAN that Clerk-Administrator Barnes be authorized to hire William Garlick, 8601 - 1~th Avenue South, ffioomington, as Assistant Maintenance Man, at the salary of $550.00 per month, subject to a physical and six months pro- bation. Notion carried. Fire reports 4, 5, 6, and 7 were noted. FIRE REPORTS Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilwc~an Stocker, CIVIL DEFENSE INVENTORY to move approval of the Civil Defense inventory, to be conducted by the state at no cost to the City of Falcon Heights. Motion carried. Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, PURCHASE OF CHAIRS to authorize Clerk-Administrator Barnes to purchase chairs to be used on the platform in the Council chambers. Motion carried.
