The Council feels that this <br />type of action should be an agreement between the tenants <br />of the building and the owner or manager. The C1ty <br />Engir~er recommended that a clause relating to the snow- <br />plowing of the parking lots be included in the tenants <br />lease. The Clerk-Administrator was authorized to conduct <br />a survey of other municipalities to see whether they have <br />any ordinances of this type. No action was taken. <br />It was mentioned that the report of the Falcon Heights <br />Fire Relief Association has been sent to the Capitol, <br />and will be heard on February 18, 197, as testimony in <br />favor of the bill which would authorize the City Council <br />to increase the Firemen's Pension Benefits, as reported <br />April 26, 1973• <br />SNOWPLOWING - PARKING LOTS <br />FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br />Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, DEVEIAPNJfENTAL DISTRICTS <br />to request that Senator North draft an enabling act for <br />the City of Falcon Heights, pertaining to developmental <br />districts, to be approved by the City Attorney and the <br />Council. Motion carried. <br />Councilwcrnan Stocker reported that the Community Education <br />Recreation Advisory Committee is requesting that the <br />City Council appoint one representative to the casmnittee, <br />that the Falcon Heights Recreation Advisory Committee <br />appoint one representative to the comeaittee, and asked <br />for suggestions by the Council of residents, one of <br />whom would be appointed at-large to the committee. <br />Councilwoman Stocker stated that if there were no ob- <br />~ections by the other members of the Council, she would <br />represent the Council. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes reported that the park <br />agreements for the proposed park at Roselawn and <br />Cleveland Avenues, leased from the University of <br />Minnesota for twenty years, have been finalized. <br />RECREATIONAL COMMUNITY <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />PARK AGREENSENTS <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, MAINTENANCE MAN <br />that Clerk-Administrator Barnes be authorized to hire <br />William Garlick, 8601 - 1~th Avenue South, ffioomington, <br />as Assistant Maintenance Man, at the salary of $550.00 <br />per month, subject to a physical and six months pro- <br />bation. Notion carried. <br />Fire reports 4, 5, 6, and 7 were noted. <br />FIRE REPORTS <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilwc~an Stocker, CIVIL DEFENSE INVENTORY <br />to move approval of the Civil Defense inventory, to be <br />conducted by the state at no cost to the City of Falcon <br />Heights. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, PURCHASE OF CHAIRS <br />to authorize Clerk-Administrator Barnes to purchase <br />chairs to be used on the platform in the Council <br />chambers. Motion carried. <br />
