1 <br />C <br />the possibility of obtaining an easement located on th e <br />nursery property between the nark and the cul de sac on <br />rloore Avenue, which the City could utilize as an entrance <br />to the Community Park, and that Mr. Hawkins has agreed <br />subject to the erection of a fence of at least four feet. <br />Pete McGough, Phillip I~Zelcher, rTr, and I~1rs. George Plant, <br />Eric Rauch, and rTr. and r1rs. Ralph Strutzel, whose proper- <br />ties abut the proposed Community Park, were present to <br />request that the fence behind their property be left thirty <br />feet west of the west property line of their lots, to keep <br />people from cutting through their yards for access to the <br />nark. <br />At the present time there are two fences between the park <br />and the private property creating a buffer zone. The <br />residents feel that the activity areas are far enough <br />away so that it won't be an annoyance, but ~roul d sti7.1 <br />like protection .from intruders entering their property. <br />Engineer Lemberg explained that if the erection of a <br />fence was agreed upon, the old fence would be taken <br />down and the new fence placed on the property line. <br />The residents were in agreement that a five foot high <br />chain link fence would serve the purpose intended. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />that a five foot high chain link fence be erected on th e <br />east property line of the park, between the Roselawn <br />right of way and to the south easement, and also that a <br />thirty foot natural buffer zone be provided, subject to <br />the sale and issuance of park bonds. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black introduced the following Resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RE~LUTION 71~-9 <br />r~ <br />A RE.~LUTIGN PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC SALE OF X100,000. <br />GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF 197t~. <br />Said bids are to be opened on the 23rd day of May, 197, <br />at 2:00 P.M., in time to be tabulated for the regular <br />meeting of May 23, 19?!~. <br />Mayor ti~Jarkentien seconded the foregoing Resolution and <br />upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, and Steele, and Councilwoman Stocker, and the <br />following voted against the same: None.
