He stated that if the codification <br />is adopted, a notice would have to be published saying that <br />the code has been adopted and is available in the Clerks <br />office for inspection. He also requested that the Council <br />pay 500 of the contract cost at this time, as his firm has <br />absorbed all costs for publishing and clerical help up <br />upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof : ?layor ti•Iarkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, <br />and Steele, and Councilwoman Stocker, and the following <br />voted against the same: None. notion unanimously carried. <br />to this date. <br />Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, <br />that the Council pay 50p of the contract cost to the firm <br />of Barnett, Ratelle, and Hennessy, amounting to X1,625.00. <br />Motion unanimously carried. <br />PRELIMINARY CODIFICATION OF <br />ORDINANCES <br />Councilwoman Stocker introduced the following Ordinance and ELECTIONS -ODD YEARS <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE X133 <br />L~ <br />1 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS TO <br />HOLD REGULAR CITY ELECTIONS IT3 ODD-NUT~'IBERED YEARS RATHER <br />THAN EVEN-1`nJA~ERED YEARS <br />Councilman Steele seconded the foregoing Ordinance, and <br />upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Councilmen Ecklund, and Steele, and <br />Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted against <br />the same: Mayor Tflarkentien, and Councilman Black. ?lotion <br />carried. <br />The discussion on a proposed ordinance for development <br />and maintenance of commercial property, was tabled. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, <br />that the meeting be moved to 8:00 P.M. for the period <br />of May 1, 197t~, through October, 197 Upon a vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Steele, and Councilwoman <br />Stocker, and the following voted against the same: <br />Mayor ti°~arkentien. t°iotion carried. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, <br />to approve the 197t~ dues for the Human Rights Commission <br />to join the Teague of Minnesota Human Rights, in the <br />amount of X30.00.
