The fire department is requesting the
purchase of four radio receivers at an approximate cost
of $300.00 per radio. Mr. Davis demonstrated the
receivers, which are compatible with the encoding
equipment owned by the City in use by the Ramaey County
Sheriffs Department.
Councilman Steele requested that the fire department
submit an approximate figure as to budget and avail-
ability of funds to be used for the purchase of the
receivers, to be presented to the Council on May
23, 1971.
Gene Gasparro, John Labalestra and a representative of
Construction 70, a firm specializing in the building
and remodeling of restaurants, were present to discuss
plans for a proposed remodeling and addition of the
Lido Cafe, as per the plans presented to the Council
in April of 1973. With the proposed addition it is
planned that the Pub Lido would be used only for
parties or group meetings. The addition calls for
the expansion of the building to the east and south
of the present building.
Discussion was held on the number of parking spaces
needed to satisfy the requirements of the zoning
ordinance, and also the side yard set back requirement,
as the addition will not meet the required ten foot
side yard set back.
Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele,
that a variance bye submitted in reference to side yard
set back and also in reference to parking, be waived,
and submitted to the Falcon Heights Planning Commission.
Motion carried.
RADIO RECEIVERS -
FIRE DEPARTMENT
REMODELING & ADDITION
LIDO CAFE
PARKING SPACE VARIANCE
SIDE YARD SET BACK VARIANCE
