2662 <br />B & E Patrol Black moved seconded by Stone that the Mayor and Clerk <br />Animal Control be authorized to sign Agreement with B & E Patrol on <br />Contracts behalf of the Village of Falcon Heights. .Agreement is <br />for furnishing Animal control for the yearTJarnzary l~ <br />196$ and continue in effect until December 31, 1968 and <br />from year to year thereafter subject to termination by <br />either party by notice in writing before December 1 of <br />any year and subject to right of cancellation by either <br />party for cause. Ayes: Warkentien~ Strandquist~ Black <br />and Stone. Nays: None. _Motion was carried. <br />Newport Plumbing Having met the requirements it was moved by Strandquist~ <br />Authorized to do seconded by Stone that Newport Plumbing Inc. be, authorized <br />Plumbing Works to 'do plumbing work in the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion was carried, <br />Proposed Apartment James Boyd was present regarding proposed apartment building <br />Building - 18t~0 at 18l~0 West Larpenteur Avenue, which property would be <br />West Larpenteurs involved if Fairview Avenue were to be extended south of <br />Fairview Ave. Larpenteur Avenue. Mr. Boydts main inquiry was concerning <br />Extension.. front footage on Larpenteur Avenue which would be involved <br />South of if a continuation.. of Fairvie~r were accomplished. Lemberg <br />Larpenteur: stated that about 73 feet would be used for the street, etc. <br />and the remainder would be about 102 feet. There would be <br />I~2~000 square feet which appears adequate for <br />^ Mr. Boyd~s proposal for multiple dwelling. <br />Sswer 3ervi.ce Mr. DeBernardi of 1770 North Pascal was present in regard <br />` Repair,,,- 1770 No. to Webster Company~s charges for sewer service, but <br />Pascals there was no representative from Webster Co. as requested <br />in Clerks letter to them of December 29,,1967. DeBernardi <br />advised council he would contact Webster Company and make <br />arrangements for appearance at next council meeting. <br />No Parking on Fry Mr. Duane Nowlin, 1697 North Fry Street was present to <br />Street -2s30 a.m. inquire as to reasons for no parking allowed from 2:30 a.m. <br />to 7:30 a.m.: to 7:30 a.m. on Fry Street in front of Spiegler Apartments. <br />Councilmen stated that many problems had arisen from <br />continuous„parking in front of the apartment buildings and <br />deemed it wise to leave parking_:~estrictions as they are <br />and suggested that apartment dwellers seek parking for <br />overnight guests, etc. elsewhere than on the street. <br />1968 Appointments <br />Stone introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />Vacancy in Office adoptions .. <br />of Councilman= <br />WHEREAS Willis Warkentien has been elected Mayor of <br />Falcon Heights and <br />WHEREAS before his election as Mayor, he occupied one <br />of the offices of village councilmen, and <br />WHEREAS, he cannot occupy both offices <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that one office of <br />councilman is hereby declared vacant. <br />Motion was seconded by Strandquist, and upon a vote being taken <br />motion was unanimously carried. <br />
