269© <br />Uniform Building Letter from Engineer Lemberg dated Tdarch 27, 1968 <br />Code stated' in part, that..since a new 1967 edition of the <br />Uniform Building Code has recently been published, he <br />feels it. would be wise to make complete review of new <br />code before making recommendations and possible <br />necessary amsnd~onts to council for its action. <br />Possible Student Copy of Lemberg's letter to Dean Berg, University of <br />Housing -Cleveland Minnesota S t. Paul Campus was regarding reports that <br />Avenue University is contemplating construction of some type <br />Public of student housing in area of Cleveland Avenue betuu'een <br />Utilitiess Roselawn and Larpenteur Avenues. Lemberg's letter was <br />for purpose of inquiring. as to Univezs.ty's means of <br />providing public utilities and whether or not village <br />will be asked to provide these services. <br />Report on Estimated Copies of Engineer Lemberg's letter of March 28, 1968 <br />Costs and Area regarding Estimated_Costs and Area Requirements for <br />Requirements for Tennis Court Construction were., given to councilmen <br />Tennis Court for review. <br />Constructions <br />- Strandquist moved, seconded by Black that T3istrict ~.9B <br />Reservation of DFL Club request to use of village hall for meeting be <br />Village Halls cb.anged from April 8, 1968 to April 15, 1968 be granted. <br />Ayess All. Motion was carried. <br />Ordinance No. 83 <br />An Ordinance to <br />Prevent Blight, - <br />Blighting Factors, <br />or Cause of <br />Blight -ete. <br />Stone introduced.. the following resolution and moved its <br />adoptions <br />WHEREAS, the attorney for the Village of Falcon <br />Heights has been consulted in the preparation of <br />proposed Ordinance No. 83, and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council has held discussions <br />to consider the adoption of proposed Ordinance No. 83, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, 13E TT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of Falcon Heights that Ordinance No. 83 entitled "An <br />Ordinance to Prevent, Reduce or Eliminate Blight,_Blighting <br />Factors or Cause of Blight within the Village of Falcon <br />Heights, Minnesotas To Provide for the Enforcement <br />Hereof: and to Provide Penalties for the violation Thereof' <br />be adopted. _ <br />Motion for passage of Ordinance 83-was duly seconded. by <br />Ecklund. Upon a vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor of sames i~arkentien, Strandquist, Black, Stone <br />and Ecklund and the following voted against same: .IV'one. <br />Whereupon said Ordinance was declared adopted and shall <br />be in full force and effect 30 days from date of publication. <br />Master Gas Installers It is attorney Calvin's opinion that inasmuch as the <br />Master Sewer Installers. state does not regulate Master Gas Installers or <br />Licenses Required= Sewer Installers, the Village of Falcon Heights can <br />continue.to require licensing of same and they are of <br />^sufficient import for the village to regulate. <br />
