Motion was carried. <br />Clutch Repair on Tt was stated that the maintenance truck is being <br />truck: repaired at Badencs Service Station inasmuch as other <br /> auto mechanics are on strike. The truck is in need <br /> of a new clutch at an estimated cost of X85.00. <br />Request for water Engineer Lemberg's letter of May 9th included suggested <br />connection to letter to_be sent to C. Hamblin, General Manager of the <br />Roseville Resident: St. Paul Water Department, pursuant to request of <br /> Village Council .and was regarding request for watermain <br /> hookup at Lot 12, Block 2, Gottfried Addition, Roseville. <br /> In part suggested letter stated that because of the <br /> existing condition of the Hamlane Avenue water main <br /> (south of Garden Avenue) it is the opinion of the <br /> village council that this request should be denied. <br /> Further that unless some agreement could be arrived at <br /> ~rhereby both Roseville and St. Paul would share in the <br /> cost of the proposed new lane it is felt that it would <br /> not be fair to Falcon Heights residents to experience <br /> possible inconveniences at their expense. <br />Resolution Receiving Stone introduced the following resolution and moved <br />Preliminary Report and its adoptions <br />Calling Publics Hearing <br />on Sidewalk Improve- ~41~iERF,A.S, the Village Council deems it necessary <br />meats - Larpenteur and expedient that the Village of Falcon Heights, <br />Avenue and Iowa Avenue: Abi.nnesota construct certain sidewalk improvements as <br />. described in and in accordance with preliminary plans <br /> and report prepared by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and <br /> Associates, Inc., Village Engineers, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has been advised by the <br />Village Engineers that the proposed improvements are <br />feasible and should best be made as proposed, and the <br />report of the village engineers to this effect has <br />heretofore been received by the Council and filed with <br />the Clerk; and <br />W~i7~R.F~S, the statute provides that no such <br />improvements sha7.l be made until the Council shall <br />have held a public hearing on such improvements <br />following mailed notice and two publications in the <br />official newspaper of a notic® stating time and place <br />of the hearing, the general nature of the improvement <br />the estimated costs thereof, and the area proposed to <br />be assessed, <br />NOfAf, THEREFOiRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village <br />Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota= <br />
