1 <br />2831 <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights referred said request for a variance <br />permit to the Planning Commission of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights, and said Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of said variance permit by a report dated <br />December 21, 1968, a copy of which report is on file in <br />the office of the Village Clerk and made a part hereof <br />by reference, and - <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of <br />Falcon. Heights has reviewed the request for said <br />variance permit, and has reviewed the report of the <br />Planning Commission, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Falcon Heights <br />Village Council that. <br />1. There are practical difficulties and particular <br />hardshipsin carrying out the strict letter of the regulations <br />of this ordinance. <br />2. The proposed variance is keeping with the character <br />and development of the immediate neighborhood. <br />3. The granting of the request for a variance is <br />necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial <br />property right ofthe applicant . <br />1r.. The granting of the proposed variance will not <br />impair an adequate supply of light and air to adjacent property, <br />unreasonably increase the congestion in the public street, <br />increase the danger of fire, endanger the public safety, <br />unreasonably diminish or impair the established property <br />values in the surrounding area, or in any other way impair <br />health, safety, comforts, morals or iri ar~y other respect be <br />contrary to the intent of ordinance No. 6l~, as amended, <br />or the comprehensive plan of the Village. <br />5. The Village Clerk and Village Zoning Administrator <br />are hereby empowered to issue said variance permit, provided <br />that the rear wall of the proposed garage be no more than <br />two feet further south of the rear wall of the existing gage <br />currently located on the premises. <br />Ayes: A11. Nays: None. Motion carried. <br />Increased Insurance Black moved, Stone seconded, that the minutes show that the <br />Coverage for Warming Keller Agency has been asked to increase the fire insurance <br />House on Roselawn: from $500 to $1,500 on the warming house on Roselawn and <br />Cleveland. Ayes: All, Nays: None. Motion carried. <br />The Village will reimburse the Falcon Woods Playground <br />Association in the amount of $100 toward the cost of this <br />warming house which was built from donated labor. <br />Workmen's Compensation Black will look into the cost of Workmen's Compensation <br />Insurance: Insurance for the Mayor, Council and Clerk. <br />
